Jason,
I don't the exact time they start but it's pretty early. I like to sit on the boat with a cup of coffee and watch groups do the tour on Valravn. I'd just plan on a quick power nap after CoasterMania.

I can't decide if going up Dragster for the Sunrise tour would be awesome, terrifying, or both. I was watching the video on YT of the guys repainting Dragster a year or two back and when they showed the views from the higher support columns, it looked ridiculously higher than one would think.
nice video !

I had the opportunity to give about 10-15 of these tours in 2016 when the tours first began. This was an awesome experience, and my favorite part of the job while working that summer. I'm not sure what they changed about the tours from 2016 to 2017 - but I wasn't a fan of having you guys just sit around outside of the guest services office waiting for one of us to come and unlock the door. I guess there isn't really anywhere else for you to wait though, since the park is closed and that office is pretty much your only way in.
Would I personally pay the price for this tour? No - but maybe that's because I was getting paid to do these and saw the behind the scenes areas more than enough times.
I believe that most groups I had given tours to found them to be very exciting, interesting, and worth it. Luckily I never had to deal with any weather issues that kept my groups from going to the top of Valravn, but I can imagine you guys would be quite upset if that were to happen. And even though that's the highlight of the tour, I am almost certain no full or partial refunds would be given in those instances.
