Sunday, October 12th?

Does anyone know why the park is staying open until 10pm on this day? It's the only Sunday in October with longer hours. I'm thinking their must be a large group event or something.

Thanks

Columbus Day weekend. A lot of people have the following Monday off.

Park has been open late on this day vs. other Sundays for many years.

Ah,thank you!

the people that go better have the following day off, they might get out of the parking lot by then. Based on last years' Sunday before Columbus Day.

How busy is Columbus Day Sunday typically? Do that many people get the day off the next day? I don't ever remember getting that off for school and I don't think many workplaces get that day off except for government and post offices and maybe some banks, I know my bank is open that day.

Do yourself a favor and don't go that weekend. Seriously. Nobody ever listens.

Yeah... Definitely not worth it. Why risk it, anyway?

If that is the weekend you have available, go Friday. Saturday or Sunday is at your own risk.

Agreed Paisley. Friday would be the only day of that weekend I would go. We're avoiding the whole weekend though.

We went Friday last year and it was like any other Friday. Friends of ours tried to go Saturday and after 2 hours on the chausee they gave up and turned back.

I went on Sunday last year, and honestly didn't think it was that bad. I managed to get on all the rides and through all the haunts I wanted. It wasn't a normal Sunday, but I didn't think it was unbearable.

Went on Friday. It was moderately crowded. Wasn't as nice as a September Friday, but not completely horrible.

I think Sunday is OK for getting off the causeway. Its the Satruday before that will be awful if the weather is nice.
