Sunday June 17th

Hi Guys lets please keep this the only topic about the unnofficial gay day at CP. It is next Sunday June 17th and it is a lot of fun. I have gone the past 3 years now it is one of the most fun times out of my visits each year. The crowds have been light in the past and my partner and I have never ran into any problems. We have been toghether 6 years and finally I was able to convince him to have fun on rollercoasters about 4 years ago. He was worried in the past of going on that day and being harrased by some religious fanatic. I finally convinced him to go and every time we have never run into any problems. The reason I am posting this is because in the past years we get a thread that basically turns really ugly lets not do that this year please.

I don't think it's a problem having a thread like this, as long as it stays calm, but it should probably be in the Meetings and Gatherings area...

i will be there that day but i am not gay....Me and my dad are going that saturday and sunday. I heard that the crowds are light on fathers day and was wondering if anyone knows if they are in fact.

I was there on Fathers Day about two years ago, and the crowds were okay. TTD had it's average 1.5 - 2 hours, Mill had 45min and Raptor was about a half hour. Overall quite an enjoyable day.

I'm not quite sure I'm following the purpose of this thread. If you want to start a topic about going to the park on June 17, or any other day, the Meetings and Gatherings forum is the place to do it. If you're just starting a topic to ask people to be nice once there is a discussion, then let's wait until there actually is a thread.

Unfortunately, trying to be pro-active will just give some people a reason to troll. If there is a thread, and if a problem develops, the moderators will handle it appropriately.
