Those are the days of my first trip (LONG TRIP) of the 2004 season. We usually go once during the summer, then once or twice during Halloweekends.

I'll be arriving at the Magnum entrance at or a little after 7am. I thought i was going to be in good shape arriving sometime between 7:45 - 8am last year, boy was i wrong. The line was already stretched way past the challenge park ticket window. Thank god for the seperate season pass line. I'll be staying at the breakers, so early entrance for me :). Just look for the dark blue, backwards, Top Thrill Dragster hat, that will probably be me. LOL, like others don't have that exact same hat.

I'll most likely be waiting by myself because my wife refuses to wait that early to get into the park just to rush to wait in another line. I see her point, but im there to ride. I get up before 6am every morning anyways, so lets hurry up and wait ;). I have to get a jump on all the younger kids, i'm not that fast of a runner lol.

You see some interesting stuff while waiting at the gates. Last year, this guy totally went off on these kids that tried to just blend their way into the already long line, i don't blame him, it was a good laugh. He did the same thing while we were waiting in line for Dragster. Can't forget all the skimpy clothes these girls decide to wear into the park, God bless them.

Hope to see some of you there!

My girlfriend, roommate, friend, and I are all road-tripping down there that week too. We're leaving Sunday the 8th at 8pm (Central), and planning arrival for late morning/noon on Monday. It's my gf's first trip out and my first since 2000. We're looking forward to a great week with plenty of runs on TTD!
I'll be there 8/7-8/11.... For some reason I think spongbob squarepants and a giant scream guy will be running around the hotel, I just have this hunch as it happened last year while I was there around the same time, guess we'll have to wait and see. I also cant wait for one of my friends to ride dragster as that will seal my brothers fate with runs. I've been looking foward to this trip since last September!!!

I'll most likely be right up at the gate. I'm 6'4" tall so i shouldn't be hard to spot, unless im sitting down of course. I'm pretty sure i'll have a dark blue Michigan shirt on also.

Hmmmm... I'll be there, I'll look for ya. Isn't it kind of hard for you to ride certain rides due to your height?
JW Addington's avatar
My height doesn't interfere with any rides at CP. Well, except for turnpike cars, im sure i could squeeze in, but whats the point. I'm pretty much comfortable on any ride i go on.

It sux being that tall. I'm 6'2" right now and still have awhile to grow(only 15). My dad's also tall, 6'4", and we only have problems on some of the smaller rides, the only roller coaster I've had a problem on is Corkscrew, not enough leg-space!

I'm going the 11th and 12th. I'll also be staying at Breakers. What section you staying at JW Addington? so I can keep an eye out, or two. IDK what I'm wearing so just look for a tall skinny kid walking with a tall skinny man:). I'll be there with my mom and sister also. Hopefully that week is nice.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

I see alot of these tall and skinny men... I'll have to start asking them all...

Sean,

We are staying at the Breakers East. I agree about corkscrew, it is kinda snug, but im comfortable, just have to stay in the front part of the cars. Same goes on Iron Dragon, can't forget the crossing of the legs on Mine Ride. And always asking politely to sit in the front of the car on Wildcat. Some people don't mind, if not, its back to the old cross your leg routine.

1 week to go, and i've went from 282lbs to 234lbs. I'll see if i can squeeze out another 2lbs in this last week to make it an even 50lbs since April 13th, if not, oh well. My goal was to lose 40lbs, anything else is a bonus! Lots of situps and push ups, plus watching what i eat.

I also think we're staying at the East Section. Nice job, by the way, on your weight loss. I could never be that commited.

I going for Sunday and Monday leaving at 5am if I get up earuly enough (lots of coffee). Well I couldn't get a room at BReakers was totally full but I got one at sandcastle. I know you can't check in untill like 4pm but can i get the card to get in early.
JW ill be there at the enterence at 8-8:30 see you there. Just wondering how long does it take you to get to Cp from Saginaw.
JW Addington's avatar
it takes anywhere from 3 - 3 1/2 hours....depending on how fast ya drive ;).

Yes you can get the resort card early. Go to Sandcastle and pre-register and thats where they will give you your card. Thats what i always do, so all you will have to do is get your key when your room is ready.

If Dragster is not going to be open for ERT, im going to shoot over to the Marina gate to run to MF.

I am 6'5" and the only problem that I have is riding Jr. Gemini with my niece.

MF Circuits=3,011(272)

Thats pretty good driving time, take me about 2 and half hours from Rochester, driving like theres no tomarrow. If your going tomarrow tho 75 is closed southbound at 8 mile. Also there is no 'shooting over to the marina gate from the back with the shuttle, so dam slow. You got to wait for them to get where you are then they make 5 stops before you get to your destination.

If thats the case, ill just have to take the longer run and go in from the Beach Entrance.

I shoot US23 down to the turnpike, i will not take route 2 ever. We leave early in the morning like 3:30 so that should put us down there anywhere between 6:30 and 7am. Time to preregister and chill out for a little bit before the park opens. I can't wait to WAIT to get in to the park LMAO!

Why on Earth do you leave so early? Seems you'd be just fine to leave at 5 or 5:30...

Yea im leaving about 5 but got to take 94 since 75 is gonna be closed. I just take 230 or whatever the number is off 75 to the turnpike. US 2 is shorter but slow speedlimit, like that matters, plus im sure you heard on the news of all the accidents that have been on there this year. I cant wait either first time this year i have made time to go. I'll be at the back enterence at 8:30, im sure TTD will be open it has been for a week or two now. If its not tho, ill jsut take the car down to the marina and park it there for the day. See u there.

Mr. Scott

I guess we leave that early for a couple reasons. The main one is to just get our vacation started, i also prefer driving the highway at night, no traffic to deal with. Also, we like to pre register and maybe take a walk on the beach, just relax a little or what have you. I hate coming into Sandusky when all the other traffic is starting to arrive. 5 or 530 would be ok to leave, but that is just cutting it to close, id be feeling the urge to rush things, thats just me though.

I'm leaving at 5:30 or 6 on Wednesday. It's different with me, though, because it's not just me it's my whole family. So my sister doesn't want to wake up too early and my mom will overpack(just for a few day trip). We've decided to eat on the way down, so we should get there after the parks already open. No big deal if I don't get in early, I'm just happy I'm going.

Also about the traffic in Sandusky, I've had some bad experiences there. It's always congested in the morning, and last year we were stopped at a light. Well, this motorcycle guy was waiting to turn onto the road, but my dad didn't see him, so he wasn't let in. No big deal, but this guy, after he finally got onto the road passed us in the turning lane and said, "Thanks a lot, a**hole." I mean that's not the worst thing to say, but my whole family was in there(including my 7yr old sis). Though she's heard stuff like that before, it's still an awkward situation.
