The last couple of years the Summer Spectacular has opening music that plays for around 15 minutes prior to the start of the show. Does anyone know what the song is and who recorded it? I was listening to an ad on a radio station here in Detroit and the same music was playing in the background. I'd like to get the uncut version. This is an odd one. I hope someone knows the answer.
Jeff-
I thought it was done in house. Maybe we're thinking of two different things.
Ya know I think we have it in our cd player at work. I'll take a look to see who the artist is. It may not be the same music but everytime I hear it it reminds me of the Point.
It's probably a bit of generic "corporate jazz" production music available from one of the many production music libraries. Those libraries tend to be pretty extensive, but because any producer who buys a set of discs can use it, you'll hear the same music in many different contexts.

Where would you get music like that? I've been searching the web but have had little luck.....
Jeff-
You won't.. Not even WinMX or Napster would have those kind of things. The libraries are generally VERY expensive and controlled.
btw.. the music starts 10 mins before the show. Promptly at 9:50 each night..

If you want to be technical about it, they probably start the show at 9:50pm. The opening intro music would be on the same show track as everything else, so when that music starts would be approximately where the show controller kicks in and takes over.....
