Summer Spectacular 2001

This might be just a dumb question or easily answered, but I've looked over at the shows listing for 2001 and I don't see the Summer Spectacular. Granted, it might just be for live entertainment (which the laser show isn't exactly) but I'd think it's enough of a draw to merit a listing. Is it possible that this might be looking like a blank space on the Iron Dragon/Wildcat Midway?

As if we haven't had enough posts about things disappearing, I know...

Don't you remember HalloWeekends? It looked like the aliens had taken over the control booth of the Summer Spectacular. I would say that the laser show should be pretty different this year if the aliens are now in charge of it.

It's still on.. Joanna (friend of mine) is working ID this summer and she was telling me about how she's glad because they close the ride down and then she's on crowd control.

If you look at the official park map there is no white screen infront of the train station... it looks like just the white poles. Perhaps the screen can go down at nite and up for the day. That would be very nice because you would then be able to see the train station and Millenium Force.
can't.. the tensioning of the screen takes too long. That's why they keep it up. It's much like an older style movie screen.. off the edges of the screen were tensioning cables. Kinda like a stratched animal hide over a rack.

I actually have never seen the show--is it worth watching?

I think it's worth watching at least once.

Very worth watching! It does seem to get better every year - at least adding more laser colors, slides, etc. After a few years it seems to be the same, but then it's fun to try to pick out the differences.
