SU95?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but does anyone know why the FreeWay stamp for Mantis says "SU95"? I know Magnum used to say "XL89" because it opened in '89, but Mantis opened in '96, not '95, and I don't know where the SU comes from.

The other stamps make more sense, although I've seen both "MILL" and "FORCE" for Millennium Force, and "TWIST" and "WICK" for Wicked Twister, depending on what year it is.

SU for Stand Up? Just a guess. Don't know about the 95. It was announced to public in 95 but I don't know what else it would mean.

I was also wondering about this. My guess is that it means "Stand Up 1995", but obviously Mantis opened in 1996...

I asked the lady at the booth once, and she said stand up coaster that opened in 1995. Obviously the 95 part is wrong, but oh well.

Maybe the deal with B&M was reached in 1995...the "purchase date" My other guess would be an internal code for the Banshee/Mantis project...why they would use it for FreeWay is anybody's guess.

Whenever I get one stamp that says "Mant" and another that says "Force," I walk around all day doing my little saying. The saying is just me yelling "Half man, half ant, and a whole lotta force, it's Mant Force!" Then I cross my hands so the stamps read Mant Force. It's just my stupid little thing that I do.
