hey everyone, is there anyone out there who got stuck on the force?!? i got stuck at the top of the hill on a slant for about 5 minutes and it was really scary, when we all got off, nothing was said....what caused that?!?
Not sure what caused it...maybe Jeff knows ;)
God bless ya, though, I would have had to change my pants he he
mikey :0
It may have been that the train ahead did not clear the block, that block being the course. So your train would have been "stuck" because it is not allowed to be in the same block as the other train. I guess it then takes them some time to reset the system.
Of course there could be a thousand reasons that your train was "stuck," "stationary" "Setup" or "Sandwiched."
I got stuck 2 times last season.. once just as we headed out of loading.. the second.. about 2/3 up the hill for about 3 mins. I loved it.. just leaned back looked around, smiled, and closed my eyes. Thankfull to be one of the lucky few who got to enjoy the view.
Granted someone 5 seats behind me was loosing her mind, come to find out as we were walking out she only rode it because she lost a bet and has a death fear of heights..
She got back in line...

I have a really scary event that happend to me. It happend to me in October during one of those morning where season pass holders could ride MF early. Well I was the second train out of the station for the day and we were half way up the hill and all of a sudden we stopped. it was only for like a second but after that there was a huge jerk of the car(I dont mean the jerk like an idiot kind of jerk eather.)Well I was in the back of the train and i was pretty scary. So i guess I wasnt stuck but I guess I was for a second.

STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP
Nothing compares to the 45 minutes that I was stuck at the top in August!!! We slipped back 4 times and that's all I have to say. Don't believe me? Search the morning journal website!
Well Brett, we stopped, then fell back on the hill, stopped, etc...
Umm.. not calling you a liar or anything but wouldn't the anti-rollbacks prevent this?? even if the sled did move backwards????
Dave???

Oh boy, as if my day hasn't been ugly enough..."dave" would probably not even know what incident I am referring to. Apparently, nobody took me up on researching the article on morningjournal.com Janice Witherow even explains it. sheesh.
Actually.. yes I did and the article seems to quote you quite a bit.
Janice only mentions the circut breaker inccident and not a "rollback". The ride is designed not to move more than 6-8 inches if I remember the design correctly. Slight difference between 6 inches and "a few feet".

Now we know who to blame for sensationalist crap calls to newspapers over non-events like this.

Well Jeff, perhaps you were there that day, perhaps you know all!!! sensationalist crap, you want to know what is crap?!?!? people who assume things that aren' true! A man there that day, happened to be there, and interviewed me, sorry. Crap indeed, you should talk. I wouldn't make a big deal about it, but you pushed me to do it! Now we know who to blame, I suppose you like doing things like that! But I'm sure everyone else will stand up for you, just the usual!

Dude... you're supposed to know better. The train didn't go anywhere and you know it. There should never have been a story in the first place, and there wouldn't have been if you didn't make such a big deal of it. As this thread shows, a number of people were stopped on the lift at various times. So what? They do it intentionally every morning. It's not news.

I'm so sorry....not. Perhaps when I get stuck again, get off, get no explanation, get treated like crap by the ride operators, maybe I will just shut up. Dude, you need to do something...
I should never have posted it. It moved, and if you think that it never moved, your full of crap!
Never mind. You can go do whatever webmasters do..oh i forgot, I already know. They accuse and assume. You would not have found this so stupid if it was you and your Grandfather was standing on the ground almost having a heart attack! Maybe
I wasn't scared, but there were a lot of people that were. Those people don't exactly ride the force 100 times in a season, because they are not obsessed.
We may be obsessed but it's not only an obsession but a hobbie and thats all I have to say about the subject.

I know the story, I know where you work (or where you think you'll be working this summer) and I know you called the media. No member of the media happened to be there that day. You are an opportunistic propagator of nonsense, not entirely unlike Jerry Springer or The National Enquirer.
I can smell BS like a fart in a car my friend, and you reek of it like a Taco Bell crapper.
