STR 2011

Any one have any intel on what mods they are making to STR to fix the issues from its first year of operation? I assume a boat rework is a minimum.

Hoping to try it out for the first time this summer.

You know, this actually crossed my mind the other day. I would certainly hope that at the very least there are new boats. This would be nice for the blog to cover at some point.

I hope they get those glass water blockers like they have on Pilgrims Plunge at Holiday World. There is also this bump before the 2nd hill. I would hope these things as well as full capacity boats are are introduced for the 2011 season.

Difficult to imagine a manufacturer botching a design as badly as this one was in this day and age. Computer assisted design and all. How could the boats not fit after being loaded?

Intamin always seems to screw something up. I like how Thunder Canyon was made by Intamin before computers and it runs so smoothly unlike STR.

^ This seems to happen alot nowadays. I see this happen where I work all the time with new machines going into tight places. The mach. comes in from a truck and doesn't fit the spot it's supposed to, and the engineer says well it fit fit on my computer model.
