This mystery coaster reminds me so much of Storm Runner. Ever since i first saw one of those little signs, with the western font/ sayings. Check it out.
I hope you brought your flame shield.

Isnt there already about 30 threads in this topic titled "stormrunner" that are locked?......yeah, that would tell most people something ;)

Actually this could be discussed in any of the 5 topics below already in this forum. Don't worry Jake, it's alright.
Yeah, it does.
It also looks similar to Millennium Force, and Goliath at SFH, and Expedition GeForce, and Thunder Dolphin, and Rita, and Speed Monster, and XCelerator and....
Looks like and Intamin Coaster to me!
Cept all the track we've seen thus far has not included the predominant box track featured in Storm Runner. All we've mostly seen is triangular track and a few pieces of flat track.
Correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't Intamin typically use the box track where there is more stress on the structure???
i.e. The over banked turns of Millennium Force...
There is nothing quite like becoming a human windshield on Millennium Force
No. You cannot tell a coaster by the type of track. Yes, the box track is more structurally sound, but it's not meant so much for stress as it is for putting a larger distance in between footers.
^^ What he said. Intamin has used 2 rail track in high stress areas before. (S:ROS) Its just a matter of how far the span between supports can be.

I have never noticed that, but in the first picture, why are the footers so tall and not the supports instead?
Cement was cheaper than steel that year.
;)
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
^I'm just guessing, but they probably had one design for all three of the S:ROS rides and adjusted the footers to fit the land. You see this a lot when roller coasters are relocated.

Thanks Gomez/Craig. That would explain why. Only one problem, there are only two S:ROS that are clones. The third is the better one that competes with MF every year for the best coaster in the world. Go MF!

Um, if you're talking twists and turns, I'm all onboard with you.. but if anyone here is talking another hydraulic launch......
