Storage Question

In this picture, I don't quite understand the mechanism that is housing the trains. Can someone please explain how that works? It almost looks as though the train is balanced on those center wheels.

It's also supported on the wings. Give me a few minutes and I'll find a picture.

Here, these should help

I actually really like that it doesn't sit on the storage track on the wheels. Wheels are the part of the train that you need to inspect and work on the most, so the design is actually pretty awesome.

Thanks! That makes more sense now.

The storage "tracks" are designed like this so that the wheels will not develop flat spots. The ability to easily inspect the wheels and bogies probably did play into the design as well though.

R.I.P. Mr. Scott

You'll notice the same setup for Mantis. And presumably Raptor.

Raptor rides on a smaller set of wheels located on the upper frame.
