Can somebody explain to me why they are still running trains through the ride if the current configuration causes "excessive stress on the trains."
Usually, if something's broken and you are awaiting major replacement parts, you don't keep running it, but that's just me I guess.
It looks as if they started to drain the swan pond. Take a look at the webcam.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I can verify this as I was at the park today. I saw at least two different, large "hoses" draining water from the pond. I also saw some heavy equipment (the kind that might be used to swap out track pieces) on a flatbed.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Some of us don't have the time or care to listen to the Podcast. What did it say?
Screamscape claims the track is already on site? Did they get this confused with the apparent equipment?
Thrills Around the Corner!
No way that is true. Unless Tony lied his ass off in coasterbuzz's podcast, but I trust Tony before screamscape any day of the week.
anyone notice that the pond cam isn't refreshing...it's not 8pm yet...hmmm

Just to clear up something in the podcast, was Tony saying he didn't think Maverick was going to be a good ride in terms of re-ride ability or it was? He seems to trip up when speaking a bit, but I couldn't tell what he was trying to say there.

In all honesty, Screamscape has been right plenty of times, haven't they? I'm not giving them credit, especially since they are giving out confidential information, but it is still factual.

I don't believe it has been updating past 6:00pm for the past couple of nights. I went to see it last night I think and there was a SRF boat "stuck" on the turnaround for like an hour. The time stamp on the photo said something like 5:00pm.
On Monday there were several large cranes in the Soak City parking lot. However, Maverick was still being tested in the afternoon.

When they say excessive stress on trains, they mean trains filled with people. I'm almost sure the actual mechanics of the trains could handle the stress.

As far as shipping the track, three pieces don't have to be shipped via a ship. They could load it on a plane and fly it in.
The track could have been fabricated over the last few days and sent via air freight to Cleveland or Detroit.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
