Still Squeakin' Along?

Is it me, or has Millennium Force stopped squeaking? I was there recently and didn't even notice the normal sound the wheels make. Maybe it has something to do with the weather. Any comments?

Rode it on Saturday several times and did not notice any difference in Millie at all. Never noticed a squeek in the first place. To me its has always been perfect.....By the way the ride-ops were still helping people to buckle their seat belt restraints contrary to the posted signs. I saw no problem with this action by them. I thought it was nice that they helped people ride the coaster.

No, the only noise I've been hearing is the outer panels rubbing against themselves or other things. You might notice the shells have cracks in the corners near the foot rails.

To add to the seatbelt thing.  I didn't have a lot of room left on the belt when I fastened it.  I told my wife that it was the sweatshirt and the jacket that made it tight.
There is no doubt that the extra clothing during some colder Halloweekends does indeed make the belt a little tougher to buckle 'yeahman'. I am glad that some of the ride-ops realize this fact and help riders with buckling the belt. It was done before without incident and should be done now too.

I know what you are saying Rob about SOP's, but it is nice that some ride-ops use common sense. Its too bad that more people in this world don't use common sense, it could avoid a lot of legal hassles due to a lack of common sense. LET COMMON SENSE PREVAIL.....NOT STUPIDITY OR FEAR!!!

You kinda have to read into the sign......what it is saying is that if you are overweight, of have an abnormal body size, you won't be able to ride. If the belt can be fastened without additional force, than we can buckle it....but if it has to be pulled and stretched, then it is up to the guest, and if they can get themselves in....than they ride, and if not....sorry bouch your luck. It's all a legality thing....personally, it's a pain in the you-know-what trying to decide if you can help someone...plus you make alot of people unhappy if they can't ride.

Thanks for the explanation Millennium Force Girl on when you help and when you don't. As an attorney, I understand the legalities of the matter, but I adhere to the maxim "Assumption of the Risk"...meaning that if you want to ride a coaster or ride you are assuming the risk of injury can happen and will be responsible for any accidents that happen to you barring some mechanical failure of the ride or equipment.

We are still going to help people get in...it's not like we don't want all of you to be able to enjoy the #1 Steel Coaster in the world.  But, we do what we are told and sometimes it just will not stretch that extra bit that we need to hook it.  The colder weather does not help the situation sometimes and we do all that we can do!
