“Step in quickly please!”

I was just reminiscing a little bit in my mind today, and I thought of the way CP rides were run years ago. I remember ride ops frequently telling guests to "step in quickly please" and other little one liners to try to speed up the loading process. I don't remember hearing anything like that for awhile. Am I just not paying attention? Do they still say that? I wonder if this a victim of our litigation happy society, where they worry about people falling if they are asked to do anything quickly. It did create a sense of urgency to load the train quickly, something that seems to be missing of late.

Each time I rode Gemini yesterday the ride op said please enter the train quickly and cautiously. So I guess they still do it, but it doesn't seem as prominant.

On the way out they've been saying "Please quickly and cautiously exit the train..." Emphasis on the caution.

I know that as a ride op just a couple years ago, I always said it. My spiels are on my website (Disaster Transport and Iron Dragon), and it's always in there! If you haven't heard those sorts of one-liners this week as much, it could be still that the crews are really still getting used to it, and there are new people training every day. Give them some time! :)
