Steel Venom Finally Open!

Today when I was at the park Steel Venom was finally open, and I got the first ride of the season on it!

and the holding brake was holding!!!

...another rumor bites the dust...

Yeah rumor has it that the computer was having trouble running the ride without the brake. Any idea if the new supports are noticable from the ride? I'll try to get a ride on it tomorrow! ;)

When I rode it the new supports weren't noticable.

Yes it is running!

Yes the holding brake is on!

Yes they have given it the WT treatment of reduced power -- Boooooo!

Got an awesome ride today.

The holding brake grabbed my train both times I was on it!

It doesn't seem much slower, if it is at all. It cranks you all the way to the top by the third swing. Same as last year IMO.

I take it back - my "full power" ride Sunday was the best its ever run!

I rode it on Sunday. I was not a huge fan of the holding break. I guess I am just too used to Wicked Twister.

For the ones that may know Robin Green, she is the TL of Steel Venom..;)

I thought we weren't allowed to post here ;). Why you giving away our secrets?

Since I am on the crew, am I allowed to post anything about the ride?
