Steel Venom

Well, ValleyFair is next in line to get an Intamin impulse. Do you think this will be like the infamous hypers put in? Interesting how this will only have one twisted spike, maybe because two aren't really safe ;)

What are both of you talking about? First off, this is the "v2.0" found at SFWoA which works just fine when they have people to staff it. And second, what does this have to do with hypers?

I am thinking that he ment how most cedar fair parks have a hyper coaster, and that maybe all if not most of the parks get an impulse.
Anyway, look at the image of Steel Venom: you can see Power Tower and the CP water tower. Looks like the make the back spike streight though.

Three out CF's nine parks have a "hypercoaster"., four if you count Xcelerator. I wouldn't exactly call that "most."

Besides, a park like Dorney who just added an invert with Talon, wouldn't be interested in an Impulse for next year or two years from now.

Yes, Xcelerator is considered a Hyper Coaster, why wouldn't it be?

Because some people sit around all day and contemplate such nonsense.

While Dorney might not need an Impulse, I can think of something else they might have in store...

BeemanCP65, your statement is just plain silly. Let's see now, CP has Magnum, VF has Wild Thing, WoF has Mamba, and DP has Steel Force. If you consider Xcelerator to be a hyper, then 5 of FUN's parks have hypers. Camp Snoopy can't have one because it's indoors. This leaves MiA as the only outdoor amusement park that CF owns that doesn't have a hyper. The other parks that FUN owns are water parks. I can't think of any water park that has a hyper.

This means that most of FUN's parks have hyper coasters. Please recheck your facts.

Bring back quote of the week. This made my day. :)

When nearly half of the parks are water parks, why would they have a hyper anything.
And MIA is going to get it's hyper...sometime...

I never said anything about Steel Venom having problems. I know that the version 2.0 impulses are pretty much problem free. And yes, the comment about the hypers was vague, but I meant how Cedar Fair installed hypers in the parks, one after another, so maybe they'll install impulses one after another. It was just an idea.
