Hello,
You mentioned you have been the last 7 years so can you help a us 1st timers out. We are trying to stretch our dollars with NO coupons last minute decision. We are a family of 6 (4 boys 5,7,9,13) and trying to figure out how to stretch our $600 budget. We would like to do 2 days at the park and 2 nights at a hotel. If we can't do that then we could just do one day at the park and 2 days at a hotel with a pool inside. Traveling days are Mon-Wed 7/27-7/29. Know any magic??? Any suggest would be appreciated for us 1st timers.
Bring your own food and bottled water. You'd be surprised how cheap CP can be if you don't pay their prices for food & bevereges.
Even with no discounts 6 x $43 = $252 for admission. Even if you spend $75 per room, 2 rooms for 1 night would be $150. Throw in $10 for parking and you've spent $412. I have no idea what you drive so I can't estimate gas, but if you can limit that expense to $88 you are up to $500, leaving you with $100 for 2 days worth of food, drink and ice for the ice chest.
If you bring food from home for Day 1--and I assume you'd eat at home before leaving--you have $100 for food on Day 2.
(I recommend 2 McDoubles, small fry and small Coke off of McDonald's Doller Menu. It comes to $4 per person x 6 people =24, plus tax. :))

I stay at the Breakers every year and always get a package deal. They offer different packages but there are two basic ones to choose from. I will break down the packages that we have purchased in the past (keep in mind that this is for two people staying at the Breakers for two nights). One package includes the following: (2) Nights Hotel, (2) Full Day CP Tickets, (2) Starlight CP Tickets , (2) Buy one get one free Soak City tickets, $30 CP Munch Money & (4) Challenge Park Golf and/or Racing Tickets. That is the package that we have gotten in the past but this year I got the other package that includes: (2) Two Day Ride & Slide Tickets. The price varies extremely on what room type you get but the packages stay consistent. I always order my tickets online and get very good deals. I decided not to get the first package this year because we never use the soak city tickets and rarely use all four challenge park tickets so we are kind of missing out. We are using the second package in late August this year and I think the two day ride & slide tickets will be perfect. We'll see?
On a side note, For the last few years I have gotten the cheapest room at Breakers and it is fine with us. Its definitely not 4 Star but it beats the Breakers Express Price and it is a good place to crash. I have never had any major complaints but I always read such bad reviews. I am not sure why. This is one Breakers Fan for life!!!.
