Squished pennies

I'm unsure if this has been discussed here before and since I can't find a search button to research for former topics, I'll ask away anyhow. :) I know CP has the penny-smashing machines. My questions are 1)How many different ones are there, and 2)Where are these machines typically located. I'm going to write all the responses down and collect as many as possible. Be nice.. don't post bogus locations and have me on a wild-goose chase looking for a penny-squisher all day long. :) Thanks for all ya' help.

Pearl Jam + Cedar Point=Heaven on earth.

There are three different kinds. I know one of them is Millennium Force. I saw one Sunday around the shop that sells shirts and hats in front of Raptor. It's on the same side of the midway as Mr. Potato.

Yeah I know, I spelled Millennium wrong, so lay off! j/k

Assuming they're still in the same locations... there's a machine in the arcade across the main midway from Raptor. I also remember one in the arcade in Frontiertown, on your way to Mean Streak (right across from the guess-your-weight/age game).. I know there are others, but the locations escape me at the moment.

These are my favorite souvenirs!

I have the MF one. I'm hoping for a WT one next week!

Anyone seen one for WT?

I believe I saw one outside the entrance to the Snoopy Boutique store, on the right side of the Midway looking from the main entrance.

The little gift shop in front of Raptor's vertical loop had one last year as well.

There is now one in the Park Plaza gift shop by Demon Drop as well. For some reason, I seem to recall one in the Camp Snoopy gift shop, but am not sure. They did add some new locations this year. Best bet is to check all the gift shops and games areas throughout the park. When I was going around last year collecting them it seemed as soon as I thaught that I had them all, I would stumble across a new machine. Keep your eyes open, there is no ryme or reason as to where they place them.

Isn't there one in front of the Town Hall Museum? I almost positive there was one back there a couple years ago. Don't remember seeing it last season, but then again I wasn't really looking for it.

I believe there are only a Raptor, MF, and The Amazement Park. They may have changed it, but you're right those are awesome souvenirs!

I want to drive the Zamboni!

Something I don't understand about these: It's illegal to smash or purposly damage money. For instance, you cannot put pennies on train tracks. How was this made legal?

MagnumFAN is back! But now he's a ShoelessRider!

I'm not sure how many there are of this type, but I know that there are a variety of Snoopy and Woodstock ones with different hobbies and Cedar Point written on them. I got mine at the Pagoda gift shop and the Snoopy gift shop.

Cedar Point is the best. I will never stop loving it. You gotta, You wanna, You have to hold on...Cedar point hold on!! :) :) :)

It's not illegal as long as you don't use it as money. And it is illegal to do on railroad tracks because you are tresspassing on railroad property to do so as well as possibly damaging the train etc etc etc.

Welcome back Magnum riders how was your ride?

Having railroad tracks splitting my family's property, I know that it's not illegal to walk the tracks, infact many hunters walk them to get into areas to hunt (which is usually our land and they blatantly trespass on--but that's another story).
Also I'm pretty sure a little penny isn't going to hurt a multi-hundred ton metal train. The reason putting pennies on railroad tracks is illegal and stupid is that when a train passes by, they are so large that they don't just go over the penny, they shoot it out at extreme speeds like a bullet. People have been killed just walking by these, or getting hit through the windshield of their car wait for the train to pass.

The law about defacing money is broken all the time, but nobody cares enough to enforce it.

Current count, I have 15 different penny designs from CP. I don't like Snoopy all that well so I only have one of those, but there are 6 different Snoopy coins. I didn't come across a WT smasher yet, but I found 2 new designs in the first arcade last week.
It is in fact illegal and punishable by law to tresspass on Railroad property no matter what the case. Also penny's fling around at 70 MPH can damage loacomotives if they fly up into the traction motors. If you don't think either are illegal just email CSX or Norfolk Southern. It sometimes may be allowed but I gurantee you if you do something wrong you will be charged. As a railroad enthusiasts i feel compelled to wonder at the stupidity of the "GP" towards Railroads and their dangers.

Well, perhaps in rural Indiana, the rules are different or nobody cares enough to enforce it. CSX is one of the tracks that run through my property and a lot of people walk the tracks.

The rules are not different and no it's not usually enforced but if you are doing something you should not be doing then it most definitely will be enforced. This is why it pisses me off so bad when people get hurt on railroad tracks and then sue the railroad and in fact win.

Also I am particularly talking about Northeast Indiana. I have saw quite a few people stopped by CSX and NS Police while sitting around Waterloo, Butler, or Garrett watching trains.

Yeah, the ole railroad towns of NE Indiana...are you down around here a lot?

I collect smashed pennies. Every time I see a machine, I get one. I never seem to find them at CP or I forget to look. I have a Mean Streak one from a machine in Frontier Town but I forgot where the machine was. I have some from IOA, rest stops in Pennsylvania and Indiana, Chiacago, Orlando... there are machines at a lot of tourist attractions!
