Sorta weird...

I was at the park on the 23-24-25, and I saw a group of mentally retarded adults in the park. No big deal right? You'd think that yea, its good for them to have fun for a day right? Then I saw one guy, really skinny, looking like he is near death, laying on what appeared to be a black cart, almost like something you'd see in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Another guy was pulling this black cart. I thought it was sorta disturbing. I mean, couldn't he be put in a wheelchair? I really don't think a family atmosphere needs to have something like that for little kids to see. Maybe it's just me, I'm not trying to be discriminating but I think he should have been put in a wheelchair.

Any thoughts?

I agree, probably not the best for family atmosphere, but you do not know his conditions about sitting up..etc. You just have to ignore it and be thankful you are not in that situation.

You know you're having a good day when you're looking at the green side of the grass and not the underside.

I also agree,

I feel bad for the retarded people and I'm thankful that I'm not in that situation as KA said. But, it is not good for little kids to see that. Seriously, they could get nightmeres and never want to come back to the park again.

everyone is entiled there right to see the park no matter who they are. I no you not trying to be mean but, you have to put your self in their position.

CP/PKI Dude, I think its great they are getting out to see the park and I see nothing wrong with that, it's just that I feel it's not necessary to have someone like that traveling on a cart across the park. I guess you could compare it to gays visiting the park, which I have no problem at all. They have the right to visit the park, but does that mean they should wear a dress like some guy did? Same idea, and there are different viewpoints on that. Maybe it's just me. Just like the fact, I don't care whether it's men with women or men with men, I don't particularly enjoy people making love it whatever way more than a kiss in a queue line. I just don't think it's the place for it for many different situations.

BTW speaking of sorta weird, behind me in line for Dragster was a guy who was in his late 80s early nineties in line for the front seat of dragster. After getting off, a few minutes later, I see him get right back in line. Couldn't believe it. Good for him. :)

Well, good for that older guy. And at 80 years young riding the dragster, wow. I'm going to agree with ya dbski. Hopefully the parents of those kids teach them that all people are the same, gay, crippled, or whatever. Still, I think some of those young, young kids will be startled by a guy in a dress, or something of that nature.
