Songs played in the mantis queue

This is the first thread in a series about music and CP. I just got some more blank cd's for christmas so I want to make a CD of the songs played in the Mantis queue, this is all I can think of right now. I didn't ride Mantis much this past year so this is hard for me to remember

Breakfast At Tiffany's
Time / Only want to be with you Hootie & BF
Tears of a Clown
Love Shack

how about-you can call me al.i think thats a song they play.
This is all from the top, so:

Ironic by Alanis
Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train

I don't know if this is the song, but an announcer says the ladies name, but I think he said something about Miracle Makers

I think there was also I'll Be There For you from Friends.
There's a song by Eric Clapton in the Mantis queue as well, anyone know which it is? (I'm kinda curious myself!)

There is also "All I Wanna Do" by Cheryl Crow, "Manic Monday" by the Bangles and some song by Shania Twain.

A song I'd like to see be played next year is The Safety Dance by The Men Without Hats. Heh, I'd like to see punk and his friend do their little dances in line.
"how about-you can call me al.i think thats a song they play."

Paul Simon. God bless that man.

There is a Natalie Merchant song.
Hooper, I didn't really know the song name, especially since I hate country...yuck!
Ah ha, they should play the Safety Dance in EVERY line. I was going to say Manic Monday. That's the only one I remember because it drives me crazy!

"You can never Safety Dance enough"
By the way, how do you do the Safety Dance? I searched all over the internet and saw a little bit of the video in this one commercial, but could not pick it up.
I think it includes a part were you run around aimlessly in a village or fair, sort of what most unseasoned CP patrons do. It would be awesome to see an entire queue do that. Because the queue area is so restrictive, I think the only dance you could do is the Limbo Rock. They do need a Limbo Stick at the end of Mantis's Queue, that way if you don't fit under, you dont ride, so less time will be spent in the station strapping people in. They won't need it if they ever build my Unload station.

Not necessarily true... I got a kick out of parts of the Millennium Force line walking slowly in step while Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall" played. They didn't need no education, or thought control, for that matter.

Mantomatic, the Eric Clapton song is "Bad Love." For anybody not familiar, it's the song with the long guitar solo in the middle.

Another hit me right after I posted. The song from the show "Friends," by the Rembrandts if I'm not mistaken. "I'll Be There for You" or something to that effect *** This post was edited by Logan on 12/31/2000. ***
