Something Fishy with the Blue Streak

I heard from someone that there are plans for the Blue Streak to be relocated and then some secret thing will be alloted the old Blue Streak space. The person would not tell me what would replace the spot, but I for one am very excited about this news. Does anyone know anything more about this?

The replacement is an inverted 400' S&S TA2K, with rotating chairs. Blue Streak is being enclosed in an acryllic bubble and will be submerged into Lake Erie.

Actually, the chances of your friend being right about the Blue Streak are about the same as our webmaster's chances of becoming an Olympic Ice Dancer. ;) (even though I have never witnessed Jeff ice skating, my guess is that his chances of Olympic Gold in that category are 0%)

Just playing with you, Jeff!

I'll volunteer to be Jeff's partner. Oh wait, I guess that the partner needs to be a female.

Anyway, I can't see Blue Streak being relocated. Tearing down and putting back up a woodie like that would be very time consuming (although I do have to admit that Blue Streak would look nice on a boardwalk.)

It would probably be possible to build something over and around Blue Streak though. I'm not saying that it will happen, but it does seem like it could be done.

This rumor is false. Why? It would be much cheaper to rebuild Blue Streak new than relocate it. The best way to analyze these types of rumors is to look at the economical impact it would have. If it would cost more than it is worth, then it's false. Keep in mind CP is a business.
Something's fishy, but I don't think it's with the Blue Streak...

Smell something fishy? It's probably just someone getting off of Thunder Canyon...

LMAO!!!!!
I heard this from the President of Chas F. Mann Painting Company, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see something with the Blue Streak. To respond to Vince, the Blue Streak is Cedar Point history, and is now more valuable then building a new coaster. My thoughts, and of course I may be wrong.

You think taking out Fascination is bad, imagine the uproar if they did attempt something drastic with the Blue Streak. I agree, evanjm5, it is more valuable than any new coaster.

Blue streak has a small footprint,so there really isn't enough room for a large attraction.Besides that, the blue streak is a part of history....but wait, wasn't fascination?
"I heard from someone that there are plans for the Blue Streak to be relocated..." There were plans for the future. I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. Thanks for your oppinions.

I am positive something new has happened to Blue Streak. I can even prove this one! If you actually go read that article, it says "partially disassembled for major repairs", and it applies to both the Blue Streak and the Gemini. Are you going to assume that the Gemini is going to be moved too, because they were working on it at the same time? Hey, why not just switch the two around, put BS in the back? Come on, guys, all wooden coasters require a lot of maintenance and work not only on the track but on the structure as well, and they need to be fixed up each year. Jeffrey Spartan is right, they're just being repaired -- wood is not as long-lasting as steel coasters! Naturally they'd have to put it back together after they repair it, it doesn't mean they're changing it any. This is how vicious rumors begin: it would be possible to assume that since Raptor's trains have been removed, then they're getting rid of it, or something else. Let's just settle down and let them work this out.
