Someone please tell me...

...tell me that the lines were outrageously long, and the people at CP were annoying on August 30th, Saturday.

I was supposed to go that day...absolutely gorgeous, beautiful day...however cruel and unusual circumstances kept me from going Saturday, and now I am going Sept. 1, Monday...rain likely all day.

...PLEASE tell me that the lines were crazy long, and the people at CP were irratating on Aug. 30, Saturday. (lie to me if you have to!!! hehehe) Thanks guys!!! I know you will help me to feel better!!!

Sorry, can't help you there. It was my first trip in almost 3 weeks, and because I couldn't go during much of those 3 weeks due to surgery, I have to say my day was fun.

But, I guess I can say one bad thing about the day. When in the really long line for the Magnum (ok, I am lying, the line wasn't bad), a whole family decided to line jump (to meet up with another family member) right in front of us. Well, since I know many of the crew members, the ATL at the ride trusted me in my observation of these people line jumping. When she kicked them out of line, they seemed just a little angry, and called my friends and I #^&holes. Well, being called an %$#hole was not what I wanted out of the trip, and the ringleader of the group, who was holding everyone's place waited for us near the exit of the ride.

So for the part of the trip that would probably qualify for your request would be us having to be escorted past these people by a CP Police officer so that we could avoid a confrontation. (At least the officer was friendly enough to walk past these people with us!)

Anyway, sorry for making this into a trip report. I might post more details in that section of the site. Otherwise, although we had a great trip, I had to miss 2 other weekends which could have been amazing, because of surgery. You are not the only one who has missed at least one great possible Cedar Point trip, so don't worry, and I am sure that even if it rains you will have fun!

I went, the lines weren't too bad, it was at its peak around noon, then a lot of people left the park and the only rides we had to wait for was Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster. We used our freeway for Mantis and Raptor, a lot of people gave us some weird looks, hehe, but I am going again on the 13th of this month, hopefully get some more dragster launches...

Millennium Force wait was said to be 1hr, 15 min...we got on in 45 min, maybe less.

Top Thrill Dragster was posted at 1 1/2 hours, which was right, but it took us 2 hrs due to a half an hour of downtime..

The Millennium Force crew pissed me off, they wouldnt let us wait in line for the front seat, they yanked us out and put us in the MIDDLE, I was so mad!

The admissions people were very nasty and mean to me as well. Snatched the ticket out of my hand and says "Move it, get in, we got people waiting out here.." in one of the most snobbiest voices you have ever heard..

edited for some spelling errors...probably still some, lol

Avalanche Sam, you should have talked them into letting you sneak out down the spiral stairway behind the doghouse. That path comes out to the midway right under the track where it comes out of the station, and it's out of sight from the exit. By the time your would-be assailant figured out what happened, you'd be riding Millennium Force! :)

Got screwed out of my entire trip for the weekend, too. That sucked.
Avalanche Sam: Are you feeling better? No more surgeries? Also... people should go back to their party instead of trying to jump ahead. It's the "law"...hehehe! Did you see these people the rest of the time you were at CP?

Michael Darling: Thank you...::sigh::

playa21: I skipped down to your last paragraph...thank you very much!

Mr. Ninja: Monday didn't work out for me as well as Saturday...so...at least Monday we didn't get drizzled on all day! Maybe this coming Saturday will be better than last! ::fingers crossed::

RideMan, your idea, while a very good one, wouldn't have worked. I was there with Mr. Magnum and Avalanche Sam. The group was standing near the Freeway entrance and then when we walked past them with the CP police officer, they were right under the track. Avalanche Sam can back me up on this as I'm the one who always does "Cop Watch" when we go to CP since I have much better vision than him.

Also, coasterluver, we didn't see them any more for the rest of the day, although, I did keep an eye out for them. The whole story is that the man was in front of us at first. One woman moved through the line to meet up by weaselling(sp?) past people and the other met up by going outside the queue area. The elderly man who called us ###holes also weaselled(sp?) his way through the line. Then, the first man, jumps out of line and later comes back, literally dragging a small boy, I assume his son.

Oh. I thought they were waiting at the exit.

Coasterluver, did you have as much fun at the park on monday as we did? My boyfriend from London was at the park for the first time and we only got to ride Raptor, Millenium Force, Wicked Twister, Blue Streak, and Space Spiral. We watched Snoopy Rocks on Ice at 2, then went home.

Those people don't even belong in the park. It think I would have asked the officer to watch from a location where he is out of sight. Then, I would have walked past those people to see if they wanted to start a fight. If they did, the cop would have been right there to arrest them.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Did you end up going on Monday, because I went for the last few hours of the night and had a blast. I already posted a trip report, but I was able to get in 11 MF, 3 Magnum, 4 Raptor, and 1 Mantis in less than 4 hours because the rain scared everybody away.
