Some Questions....

I am taking a trip to Cedar Point in August, and I'm really exited for it! It's my second time going, but my first time I was 10 and I didn't really ride anything, so I'm really exited to actually go on the rides this time! I was just wondering a few things...

1) Since I am going on a wednesday, are the lines for Milennium Force and Top Thirll Dragster usually okay or should I expect to wait longer? Also, have they been running okay or having sudden closings this year?

2) I'm thinking of taking my family to the waterpark on the Tuesday and getting the starlight ticket, which is half off. Is the waterpark worth it, or should I skip that and stick to the hotel's swimming pool?

3) We have early entry tickets, and I was wondering what rides are open usually for early entry?

4) What would be the best order of rides to go on just so that we make sure we hit all of the good roller coasters?

Thanks for all of your time! :)

Lines aren't that long this year. Dragster and Maverick sometimes get to the hour mark, but this year thats as long as I have seen it.

Dragster has its ups and downs, but for the most part its been open a lot this year.

Soak City isn't bad, but it won't be the best water park you'll ever visit. Its a good place to relax and cool off.

Maverick, Raptor, and Millennium are the 3 big ones open for early entry I think. Sometimes Magnum opens early too.

Have fun. :)

Let's Get Weird.

Once early entry is over start at the BACK of the park. Raptor will have its longest lines early.

I would say that you should go to the best rides in the park first because these rides will have longer lines throughout the day... those rides would be Millennium Force, Maverick Top Thrill Dragster and Wicked Twister.

I would suggest making a loop starting at Maverick then going to Millennium Force then Wicked Twister then to Dragster.

Rides like Magnum XL-200 will have a short line for the most part. Also rides like Maxair Skyhawk and Power Tower will have short lines too.

Raptor is better to do at the end of the day because by that time everyone will have moved to the back of the park.

Hope your trip goes well!

What? This is Top Thrill!?!?!? I thought I was riding Iron Dragon!!

Dragster is not an early ride, so dont head to it in the morning. it has too many problems in the morning, and like most of us, it takes awhile for the "coffee" to kick in. :)

Also ride shoot the rapids in the earlier part of the day, cuz the lines will get longer later.

I suggest millennium at night, it is a great experience!

To hit all the big rides, just look out for the ones with short lines, and get in line right then, because it may or may NOT get shorter later.

good luck!

^It actually is a morning ride. It is under a 30 minute wait before 10:15. Using the Soak City or Marina Entrance is the best idea to get on Top Thrill Dragster during the first 15 minutes of operation. I have seen 1 problem w/ TTD is the morning in the past 3 years. Most of the problems I have seen were mid-day.
