Some qs on the Dragster

Alright now I know some of these questions have previously been answered on different topics but I need to get my facts straight. About how long is a wait for the dragster when it is up and running on a tuesday and wednesday? About how occasional are the breakdowns and for how long? About how occasional are rollbacks? Whens the best time to ride the dragster? And after a certain number of rollbacks will the dragster shut down? Also is there anything I need to be updated on about anything in the park I havent been there since July 2nd.

--Maybe a couple hours?

--Anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours. Rollbacks are whenever they wrap up testing and they happen when they happen.

Whens the best time to ride the dragster?

--When it is open

And after a certain number of rollbacks will the dragster shut down?

-- No, unless youre talking about 500 or something.

Also is there anything I need to be updated on about anything in the park I havent been there since July 2nd

Draken LC - have you been paying attention at all? The reason Dragster is down right now is because of excessive rollbacks. The guides that the sled runs through are getting torn apart by all of the rollbacks. Tasha, yes, after numerous rollbacks, they will close Dragster down for a bit and then probably reopen later in the day. I was also there on a Wednesday and I got on Dragster 5 times and my top wait was 30 minutes. You just have to get lucky like I did and go on a day when the park is empty. Other than that, I'd say 1-2 hours is a pretty good estimate. And yes, as soon as Dragster opens, GET IN LINE AND RIDE IT because you never know when it's going to break down for an extended period of time.

The rollbacks themselves don't cause the problems... the sled's inability to out of the way, that's what causes the problems.

Hey Dragsterfan, yes, I was AT the park on Friday and witnessed 5 rollbacks personally. As long as following these boards, I think I have an idea as to what is going on ;)

Sorry that you would rather spend your time bugging me on whether or not I have been paying attention, as opposed to the person asking the same questions that EVERYONE in the GP wonders, and have already been answered bit by bit in a million other threads. Why dont you go pick on the person who replied with "LMFAO" for awhile and leave the person who tried to help alone.

and Johnz, I didnt see you offer any help. As far as I am concerned, all of my answers are accurate. God forbid there isnt anyone around to pick apart each word and piece of info I say regarding a coaster.

In addition, NONE of my answers were 'smart alecky,' try rereading it. None of them had the intent of being a jerk, take it easy there buddy....

If you knew that they were answered in other Topics then why didnt you look in them......? Oh yeah there is one new thing added to the park since July 2nd, they have belt another roller coaster! This record breaker tops TTD by 400 feet and goe and incredible 650mph. This thread is going no where.......

both don't really require any knowledge, so i thought you were just being a smart [other word for butt], and i apologize.

understood.

It was not my intent to sound like that, was just mentioning... and the couple hours is almost a guarantee, its just on anf off between 1 and 5+ hours, hard to get a specific time.

and topthrill, did you mean me? if so, because its just as easy for the author to look, its not my responsibility to keep them updated about what goes on on this site. Its an entire forum made for general use, just take a few seconds to look around. (not you, the author)

sonic booms sound just like bombs. one happened on september 11 because i live right by the air force base, and i thought it was a bomb, so i went home on my bike as fast as i could, and i slammed on the brakes and flipped over the handlebars, too bad it was just a plane... but sonic booms aren't painful to hear, that was my only one so i don't know what it would be like close up. probably a little louder.

Try alot louder! I used to live in cali, although now i live in Ohio, and where I lived the space shuttle would fly right overhead, and it made a "double boom." You would have a sonic boom as it approached you, and then another right after it passed overhead! The entire house would shake, it was really insane.

Sonic Booms occur when something breaks the sound barrier (747 mph) btw, something exploded near my house yesterday and it completely shook it, my brother kept repeating "earthquake" it was a bizzare thing that happened.

Never did find the cause..

Rollbacks occur alot. I was there on Saturday July 27th and I got to see 10 rollbacks and my brother saw more earlier in the day. 9 of them were without people and 1 was with people and that was the last ride of the day at about 11:15 when they decided to shut it down.

I just got back from CP a few minutes ago. I waited 4 1/2 hours to get on TTD. It broke down a good 5 or 6 the longest was an hour. It rolled back a good 6 or 7 times too.

It breaks down about as much as Millennium Force did in 2000. The bugs are being worked out slowly, just yesturday they pretty much went the whole day solid with no long lasting breakdowns.

It's an awesome ride even if it's only 17 seconds long. When Dragster is having a bad day like today you just have to stick it out, it's not easy but I think it's worth it.
