I've been lurking on the board for a month since I'm planiing a suprise birthday party for my brother at CP from July 10-12. (He has no idea where he's going or that 7 of our friends are going!) Anyway I've never been to CP but I've gotten some great tips from this board. I'm trying to figure if I should buy a Dorney season pass ( I'm from NYC) and was hoping someone would answer my questions:
1) Should I plan for 1 day at soak city or can I hit all the major attractions at soak city under the starlight plan on a weekday July night? (we're mostly coaster people and are not bringing any little ones)
2) What coupons are in the funbook?
Thanks for your response.
Brother??? your planning a suprise party for me?? sweet!!!

Soak City is a three hour affair at best. Granted, that's my adult perspective. I suspect kids could spend even more time there. I went twice last year in roughly the same time frame and found the three hour admission to be adequate.

Unless of course you want to be completely non-constructive and vegitate by the Swim Up bar, which has it's merits...
In July, it's pretty crowded, although towards the night things calm down a little. If you are going to be there for 2 1/2 to 3 days, I might plan on a whole day. It's always nice to sit by the beach if you get bored (well, what's left of it). There is the wave pool, the enclosed black slides, the family river raft ride, 2 different types of body slides, two lazy rivers, a nice place to play around with lily pads, two kiddie areas, food stands, a bunch of similar raft rides, great views of MAGNUM, and a short raft ride.
I hear you Dave, I've spent many hours at the swim up bar and pool. It's lots of fun and makes a combo pass worthwhile.
2 words....Drunken Waterslides.
The stairs suck, but who cares. Bubbles swim up bar is great. Expensive, but great.
You could easily do the water park in one evening. Ride everything once or twice. But it's also easy to spend a lot of time there. It all depends on your prioities.
