Hi there... just curious if anyone knows what the crowd patterns are for Soak City. I'm assuming opening and closing are the least busiest.. but can anyone tell me what time it dies down during the day?
Thanks in advance!
I was recently there on a hot Friday. We arrived to a nearly full lot around 12:30 and the park was pretty crowded but that being said most of the body slides and tube slides only had short waits. About 10 to 15 minutes. The large raft ride (Zoom Flume) had about 30 to 45 minute wait. By about 6pm the park was nearly empty despite the weather still being pretty warm. At that point most of the slides were very short waits (1 to 5 minutes). Zoom Flume still had about a 15 to 20 minute wait.

Thank you, this detailed response will help me plan our upcoming trip :) We have passes so we'll try to go later in the day. I appreciate your help!
Don't forget this has also been a very mild summer so far with the temperatures expected to rise into the mid 90's over the next week.
What held true for the last few weeks when highs hovered in the mid-lower 80's won't be the same with new higher temps and humidity.

Actually, the cooler-than-normal weather may hold. I'm seeing ~90's through tomorrow, followed by a steep drop to mid-70's through next Wednesday.
So that may help keep crowds down some, if you're willing to swim in those temps.

We went on a a hot, busy Saturday. At 10am crowds were light and we got quite a few slides in before the crowds started arriving. Most slides were near walk on for about an hour. We were in line for Zoom Flume for about 45 mins. around noon. We didn't get to ride because almost at the top someone passed out and fell backwards down the last short flight of steps so we all had to leave for EMS to carry him down. We ate lunch and by 1:30pm or so it was quite crowded. Things died down after 6. That was about when we left but family that stayed until close said the wait for Zoom Flume after we left was only about 10 minutes.
Whew it was packed today but of course it was due to the weather. We came around 3 and rode Thunder Canyon and Snake River Falls first (STR was a 45 min wait). Then we headed to Soak City after a car picnic and stayed there from 5-close. Lines were still long at close but again, it was the first HOT day after many mild ones. We still had a great time!
Str really had a 45 minute wait?

That's what the sign said. We waited about 30 for Snake River Falls.
I've been there to see STR have a 1 1/4hr wait with people waiting in the que behind the train track just because they aren't filling boats and have to run empty ones.
The middle row was not operating for Snake River Falls which was a bit annoying for capacity's sake but I'm assuming it's some sort of safety issue/
