Soak City Questions

This is the first year I broke down and bought a combo pass. I usually buy just the regular season pass. The reality is it's the first year my youngest kid could handle it. I've peered throught the iron fence at it. I've seen it on TV. Now it opens this weekend.

I have a couple simple questions. Is the water heated? Also, I know there are seperate areas depending on size. Do the lifeguards check size like ride ops?

No, the water isn't heated. Yes, there are height restrictions for some of the slides.
All those stairs nearly killed me! But the swim-up adult bar/pool DID help... ;)

Last year, I was told that all the newer additions are heated, the original Soak City stuff is not.

Several of the attractions do use heated water, and you can tell.

The wave pool certainly wasn't the last time I was there, which admittedly was a couple years ago. So which "newer" attractions are now heated? If the raging river and the wave pool are now heated, I'll be using my combo pass more often now for "soaking" rather than just sunning while my son is in the water. I love the water, but not when I'm so cold I feel numb.

I'm reasonably certain that nearly everything on the parking lot side of Magnum is heated.

I know the original part of Soak City is heated, the brochure from the opening year said "heated water". I would bet the whole park uses heated water, as do other CP pools. The water temp. seems to change day to day. I know someone from the marina who often complained to the lifeguard that the marina pool water was either too warm or too cold, and the lifeguard made adjustments to the water temp.

It's very hard to drink all day...
Unless you start first thing in the morning.

Everytime I go to Soak City, it seems like I freeze on the old stuff. That being all the slides facing you when you enter the turnstiles, and the lazy river there as well.

Once I get to the other side, all the water seems warm, with the exception of the big raft ride that you can fit 4-5 people on at one time.

Where's our favorite "Aquatic Technician," Brandon? He'd know...
