Soak City and CoasterMania Question(s)

Haven't seen much about Soak City in these boards, and am interested in visiting in the middle of CoasterMania, since I don't plan on having a hotel room to use to relax in the middle of the day.

First, I was curious as to the price of lockers. I am assuming they are ridiculously expensive, but how expensive?

Second, with the forecast set to be a little chilly, I want to double check that the water is heated.

Also, when it comes to hand stamps for Cedar Point, how is the ink in the chlorinated water? I am concerned about the stamp coming off, and not being able to re-enter Cedar Point.

In terms of CoasterMania, does anyone know what the menu will consist of for lunch? What has it been in past years? I am a picky eater and would love to know beforehand if I want to eat On-Point.

And speaking of food, does anyone know how early Breakwater Cafe opens for breakfast and how late they stop serving it. Also, anyone know prices?

For some of these things, it would be nice if Cedar Fair would post the information online. But I guess that is a little too much to ask from. As such, I appreciate your help ahead of time.

1- If memory serves me right, it was $5 (+ deposit) last I saw. Though they didn't have the new lockers when I was last there so they might have installed those. If those lockers are in SC, I'd assume the price would be the same as the lockers inside the park.

2- I remember Renegade River being heated. Other than that, I believe all the tube slides are heated.....but don't quote me on that.

3- I've never had a problem with the ink/getting back into the park after SC. If there were a problem, letting them know that you just came from Soak City (and a quick scan of your pass) should make clear things up.

4- It varies every year. We've had chicken, pasta, taters and a WHOLE bunch of other things. And they've all been delicious. But I don't know how "picky" you are so I guess it's 50/50 for you in terms of what you'll think of it. Just don't forget that it's free. Getting free food AND being picky about it just doesn't jive in my books.

5- Sorry, never been to Breakwater.

You can still be picky about free food, so long as you don't complain about it. This past weekend at a trade show, we had a reception with free food AND free alcohol! I was picky in what I grabbed, but it was still amazing!

Then again, this reception was at a downtown Marriott in a fairly large city, so high quality food was a given. (I am a pretty big fan of Marriott. Too bad they only have one hotel in the Sandusky area, and it is their most economical brand!)

Even if it is free, if the food isn't at least mediocre, it isn't worth eating. My experience with Cedar Point is that food quality can be very inconsistent. Great food at some locations on some visits, mediocre at best food at others.

Yea, that's where I was going. If it's free and you eat it, don't complain about it......unless it's moldy or undercooked. No one is making you eat it.

The thing about the food they prepare for the event is that it is exactly that, prepared by Cedar Point chefs. It's not food they grab at the food stands and it's not small portions. So, if you've been to a catered event at Cedar Point, then you should have a good idea of what to expect. If not, then go in with an open mind. I've seen nothing but good things from their team in the past. It's not Marriott caliber food, I'm sure, but it's nothing that I'd ever complain about.

Speaking of food..BBQ chicken day for employees...Holy fu**

If they cooked like that in the employee cafe always, I'd be broke

Actually, the main things I am concerned about are dairy and pork.

I'll need to check with my doctor on my next physical, but I think I have become lactose intolerant. As such, if the spread is mainly pizza, I'll probably need to get something else. I can do some dairy, but not much.

Hopefully I can save some money with the free lunch!

The lockers in Soak City are all day lockers. The prices of these are 12 and 15 dollars. Breakers Bay and Renegade River are heated. I would assume that the Zoom Flume, Splash Zone, Dragster H20, and Eerie Falls are also heated. However, the quiet wave pool always seems to be a bit colder than the other attractions. This may have to do with the location of the ride though.
