Soak City

How many of you ever go to Soak City? In mind mine it is a waste of 8 Acres......What are your opinions?

It's not a waste of space for Cedar Fair.  Many people who spend multiple days in the resorts spend one or two days in the park and another at Soak City.  It is constantly packed during the hot months and it makes a ton of money.  Same thing goes for challenge park.  Its just another option for people to get them to try to stay that extra day.  And it works! :)

I have a combo pass and when it is hot I go to Soak City, as long as its on a weekday and nobody is there.
soak city needs new slides.
Soak City is ok when it's really hot, but there are things that bug me.
1. When im there, I look at Maggie, therefore I wish I was at Cedar Point the whole time.
2. I wear contact lenses, therefore halfway down every slide I have to close my eyes, so the water doesn't knock them out.
The good parts IMO
1. Makes money for CF
2. Girls in bathing suits everywhere, although only a small percentage of them are usually attractive.

Why is it always so hard for people to see the dollar signs?

I know soak city does not seem to be a money maker at times but after you've worked some of the peak attendance days-  WOW!  They are also putting in a BADLY needed renovation at the challenge park bathhouse. You may have noticed if you had to use the bathroom in challenge park during halloweekends. Not to mention the fact that it is a great place to people watch- my first day on light duty, I saw a 60 yr old woman with a belly ring, string bikini, tongue piercing and fresh tattoos. Yeah... I learned  alot that week!   AND ...Soak City Rocks - without it there'd be no Bubbles swim up bar!

Good Grief! I think Soak City is superior. Spend the day at SFWoA's waterpark and then the day at Soak City and tell me which one is better. I know there is bitterness because poeple want a one-price admission. But to me, CP is too big. I could never fully enjoy both parks in one day.
I guess Disney World should offer Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon free.

Cedar Point exists to make money, period.  The management doesn't operate the park for good will.  With the number of hotel rooms it is painfully obvious why they would create a second gated attraction and I wouldn't be surprised if, down the road, they didn't do something else in the Sandusky area.

Soak City did what it was suppose to do - it gave my wife and I another day at the park that we probably wouldn't have done if it was not there. She isn't much into waterparks but had a great time at Soak City. There is a wide range of things to do including just sitting in a lounge chair, catching some sun, and watching Maggie come down the first hill (it really is a neat view). After a full day of coaster riding, it was nice to just relax.

Only two complaints - CP needs a multiday parking pass, and the food service was very slow.

I love Soak City. I get the combo pass, spend the early morning hours riding the coasters before the lines get too long, then spend the afternoon lazing in Soak city. What better way to spend a hot afternoon than floating on one of the two rivers, enjoying the wave pool, or simply laying in a lounge chair in the sun?
