Soak City

I am goin to Cedar Point for 2 days next Tuesday and Wednesday for the only time this year, and I was just wondering if Soak City is worth spending a day on. We go to CP ever year and buy Ride and Slide tickets, I've just always gone to the park both days.
Yes it is worth it, but only if its warm enough.

Lotsa good slides and attractions, its nice getting away from all the people in the park too.

Go over and check it out. If you don't like it, you an always head back to the park.

Speaking from my own experience, I never could understand why anyone would ever leave the park for the waterpark, until I did it myself. Now I buy combo passes because I think it's well worth it. So, try it. You might like it.

It's not war, famine, or pestilence; it's only downtime.

Another word about the temperature and wind. With the lake still cool (61 deg, last time I looked), you might get "real cold" when you're out of the water. I'd recommend waiting until Lake Erie warms up before you try it out if it's windy (especially if the wind is coming directly off the lake...)

FWIW, we've gone to SC 3 times this year (last time was last Tues, when the "inland" temp was over 80 deg but winds were 15-20 mph or so). My kids were both freezing so we left & went back into the park... BTW, one of the other times the inland temp was 68 deg (but no wind whatsoever) and it was fine.

BTW, you should also take note of the height requirements. You didn't say how tall you were, or whether you'd be bringing kids in with you, etc. If someone is under 48", they won't be going on ANY of those big slides (except that big intertube one, where the height requirement is 46")... I've seen many families disappointed that their kids wouldn't be able to ride those... Note also that the height is measured in bare feet -- you can have a 48" band from CP, but it won't matter in SC. (BTW, get a SC band if you're close, it will save a lot of time -- one of my kids is 48 3/4" in bare feet and had THREE workers on three different slides tell him he was "too short" (he was obviously taller than their stick, but they were erring on the "safe side" I guess...). We went back to the gate and got him banded and didn't have any problems after that.

If you just make 48" in shoes, you'll be going on Millennium Force and Magnum but won't be allowed on the water slides (that never made sense to me... how 'bout lowering all those slide requirements to 46" in bare feet, CP??)

Hey, I heard a rumor that Millenium Force is sinking...

Thanks guys, if its warm enough I'll go over and check it out.
