Soak City

Is Soak City included when you buy a Cedar Point ticket? And is it even worth our time or should we just do 2 days at the park? If its nothing special I am thinking about skipping it. On the third day we are planning on just hanging out at the lake. Can you actually swim in it? Thank you!

If you are staying at a Cedar Point property (Hotel Breakers, Sandcastle Suites, Breakers Express, etc.) and purchase a two day ticket, the ride and slide (which includes both Cedar Point and the waterpark) is the same price as a two day Cedar Point ticket so there's no point in not buying it and having the option to go. When we go, my kids like to leave the park in the early afternoon (when it's most crowded) to spend time at the waterpark. If you're staying for three days, it only costs $11 more for a three day ride and slide ticket.

Thank you so much, that really helps! I am going to do the 3 day ride and slide and stay at Breakers. I love the plan to take a break in the afternoon.

Is the waterpark crowded usually?

We usually go early June and/or late August and the water park isn't too croweded during those times. Most people who visit Cedar Point are there for the amusement park so the waterpark might be more of an add on. I would guess that the hotter the weather is, the more crowded the waterpark will be. Have you looked at the pictures of the Hotel Breakers renovations, there is a kids play pool that your daughter might really enjoy (I saw your other post in the trip planning thread and noted the ages of your kids).

Soak City is a separate admission and not included with a Cedar Point ticket. Check here to see if you think Soak City would be worth doing: https://www.soakcitycp.com/

You can not swim in the lake. You are only allowed to go a few feet in.

Thank you! That helps, after looking into it I think we will skip Soak City. So what do you do at a lake then if you can't go in it? I am from AZ where there is no water so I haven't been to a lake, just the ocean when we go to California!

There's a swimming area but it doesn't go very deep. You can sunbathe on the beach, play volleyball, and they just put in firepits this year. There's also a non park-affiliated parasailing and jetski rental place, and I believe there's a place you can charter a fishing boat if you like that sort of thing.
