Soak City

O.K. Time to come out of the snow and cold for a while and think HOT. Don't remember the last time Soak City came up, but does anyone have any good stories to tell about a trip to Soak City. I have only done Soak City once which was last summer. Can't wait to do it all again! What is your favorite Soak City attraction and why? Mine is the wave pool because on busy days it gets packed with people and becomes a liquid mosh pit.

Mine is the Lilipads across that little pool, hey you try getting across those on an employee night with a dozen ediots trying to sprint across at the same time.

I found out the hard way that those lilypads are a great way to pull a groin! I would have to say that Eerie Falls is my favorite attraction. At least until I turn 21 and can visit the float-up bar!
Float up bar will be next years favorite for me since I will be 21 in three months. :)

My favorite is far and away Zoom Flume, one time I was with a friend and they paired us with another women that we will just call "large". When we would flip up on the turns I could swear she was going to fall on to me, it was scary but towards the end it was alot of fun.
Swim up is nice but not my favorite. I love the left speed slide the most.

Eerie Falls are the best slides ever created by man. Dark, steamy and wet... the way I like it! (On a slide you sicko!)

Is Soak City worth making a trip to? The only water park I've been to is Wyandot Lake, how does it compare?

I came very close to getting a Combo Pass, just to have the option, but I can't really see paying that much more.

I worked at Soak City a few times, and one lady wanted to know if it was worth the price...another lady heard this and she said it was definately worth it, she had a lot of good things to say about it. I've never been there myself though. I wouldn't think those 2 hour passes are worth it unless it's a slow day. (Unless of course you just have time for 2 hours)

Provided it's not crowded, two hours is more than enough for the average adult. I went twice this year and was burned out after about and hour and a half. I'm sure kids could spend the whole summer there, but water parks just ain't what they used to be when I was a youngin'!

My favorite attraction is the Zoom Flume and my favorite area is Bubbles Bar (big surprise, right?). The adult area also has a hot tub next to the bar. Renegade River is especially nice on a hot day. You can ride through the falls and rapids as long as you want and it's great to beat the heat. Soak City is fun and well worth it, if you like water parks.
Soak City has been a GREAT place to hang out while my two under-16 guys are working at The Point. I drop 'em off at work then hit Soak City for the day. The two tubes rides are tops---I love Renegade River for getting cooled off in the falls, and the other for just kickin' back and catching the sun. I think the longest I ever spent on one was about two hours, just floatin' the day away. Wave pool? Way too crowded for my taste---been in it just twice and hated it both times. Special note...The lifeguards at Soak City (and the beach) are absolutely top-notch! Always attentive but friendly and helpful. I didn't run into a single grouch or goofball lifeguard all summer. Good folks! Y'all are looking forward to the opening of MF---well, I'm looking forward to a lazy tube ride!

I think that Soak City should get some better speed slides. Something that has a larger and steeper drop than what they have now. Other than that, its awesome. Soak City has always been very empty when I have been there. Much nicer than Sandcastle water park in pittsburgh, where you often have to wait over a half hour to get on a water slide. Im not sure what my favorite attraction would be... I havent visited soak city in quite a while, and last time I was there, they havent added the wave pool and Eerie Falls yet.

I make at least one trip to Soak City every Summer if it is hot. If it is not crowded you can sometimes stay for a little over the limit.

Surprised nobody has mentioned it, but my favorite activity at Soak City is sitting poolside next to the speed slides and watch bathing suit tops come off :)

What I would like to see soak city get is two steep slides that are side by side. They had them at a Wet and Wild in FL I was at. Anyway they were like 60 feet high you went down feet first, no raft and you flew down these things. The one on the right was called The Bomb, you got in this little bomb shaped thing that the floor dropped out of.

I really liked the "Slide Winder" at Water Country USA in Virginia. Small, Cheap, and very compact. It would be a nice affordable addition to the king of all water parks.

My favorite Soak City memory was when I fell asleep in the Rengeade River. The odd thing was that I was asleep for an hour. I fell asleep towards the end where the waterfalls are next to Magnum. I was basically going around in a little circle. It was odd to say the least. Also Errie Falls rocks and like Vince I will be able to check out the bar next year :)

No one said a thing to me, not a lifeguard, not a park guest.
