so what do you do when it rains?

its an 8 hour drive for me to go to cedar point, one that i make 3 or 4 times a year. ive been pretty lucky and have never really met with too much bad weather on my trips. during the times that it has rained i usually just wait it out in the hotel room or at the mall, or in the arcade if im already in the park. does anyone have any suggestions for other things to do in the area for days when it is a complete wash-out?

Pray that it either doesn't rain or stops raining. I went one year and it rained for 9+ hours. I got a ride on MF and that was it.
Ride Disaster Transport... Go to the arcade... Go to Macaronis... Ride any open Water Rides
3 letters, DDR. If it rains, I will go to the arcade and then play DDR.

i was thinking more along the lines of indoor things you can do in and around sandusky, for the days when its raining so much you dont even make it into the park. like museums or theaters. or ghostly manor :) anything like that in the area?
When it rains? Great time to visit the Town Hall Museum, the Aquarium, the Cedar Point Cinema, the Pirate Ride, and even the Western Cruise.

(What's that...?)

Oh. Never mind, then...

I cry......no not really, but I go see the shows...This year I saw starstruck!

If it is raining like hell and pretty much everything is closed then you have two options.......Dodgems or Disaster Transport:)

Millennium Force Crew 2007
Raptor Crew 2008

The shows aren't bad either, I'm not big on them but it's a good way to rest your feet for a half hour or so, rain or shine.

Get wet.

If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.

lol, no matter how hard it rains, it is fun getting your butt kicked on some of the coasters that are still open. Especially Millenium Force!
last year it rained on labor day without stop from when I woke up to when I went to sleep. I rode every open thing in the park, spent an hour at Johnny Rockets, and still got almost thirty Millenium Rides. I do however limit myself to getting dreched only one or twice a year.

Spend lots of money in the gift shops, see the shows, ride the train, sit in my van and sleep.

Go to TGI Fridays and have a couple drinks. It will help when the rain stops. ;)

Beer and golf Thursday thru Monday, Cedar Point & beer, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Can you see One-Eyed-Willie from the top of Magnum?
