so sorry...

This is directed at OldCPer and any others out there that wish to advise me to read up on past matters that have been discussed concerning CP#16 for 2003. Sorry that I haven't been around since the conception of talks about this marvelous new attraction at the Point, which probably started sometime back in June or July. I know you didn't want anybody else to "blast this poor unsuspecting fellow", and I do appreciate you for adding that in there... I check this site about every third day or so, and I read up on what I can with what time I have. We all are playing one big guessing game, and as time wears on, we are all getting closer to actually knowing what this thing really is (even without an official announcement). It sure would be nice if everyone appreciated others, like myself, who come onboard (albeit a little late) and add their own unique input to the whole pile that is CP#16, even if this input has been brought about before! Some of you guys are on the "cutting edge", I guess, of discussion about this ride and no one else is allowed to participate in your little circle jerk unless they invoke an idea or have info that is new to all of you. It is sad that you all (daily, or even twice or more per day) mull over the same ---- for a couple of days or even a week or so until something fresh floats your way. There is a lot more to life, you know... Why don't you all chew on that for a while... maybe for a couple of days or even a week or so.
Hey rpotts, I hear you, some people on this site act as if they are five years old. (Probably because they actually are!) They need to cool it. People come up with what they believe to be a good idea and they just usually trash them. The funn thing is most of them don't have any solid facts to back up there point of view. No one really knows the truth about this ride yet. Only 50 to 75 people do and they aren't saying anything! So if other people like rpotts have an idea or suggestion that u don't agree with just tell them your opinion with out trashing there opinion! Everybody needs to lighten up!

Wicked Twister is a great ride! Just because it looks simple soesn't mean it sucks! I wouldn't mind having it in my back yard!

I know really... the other day some one got all up tight just cuz I made a (one) Typo!
I hear that ya'll! :) Makes you wonder if CP was not such an amazing place would some of us put up with these people to be here?
I agree people get a little to agressive here. As if some of these guys are somehow on a higher level in understanding coaster tech.

"whatever it is i hope it makes me pee myself"

You guys are all relatively newbies (posting-wise, at least). The people that flame the newbies are sick of the daily influx of people wanting answers that they could easily look up themselves with the use of the search feature. You may think that people are being hostile, but they are just really telling you how it is. This board is run with a tighter ship than most. Many of the people that state things as fact do so because they are either in contact with someone that knows what they are talking about, or have paid attention to the right people on here.

Also (directed to no one in particular), no one likes to see people posting just so they can see their own words up on the screen. Seeing the threads progress with intelligent conversation is what we want, not just a bunch of nonsense. If you do so, people get annoyed with it very quickly, which isn't a good way to enter into this community.

...and this is why Guide To The Point is a MODERATED web forum...rpotts, you nor anyone esle should take it personnally when a topic or post you make is blasted. We do try to moderate that as best we can. However, as a somewhat regular visitor you should know some of the "rules"...ALWAYS check before you post...especially if you are visiting every couple of days...It is like sitting down at Thanksgiving dinner starting the conversation then walking away for an hour...when you return to the table do you expect everyone to repeat the discussions you missed?

Contributions are always ENCOURAGED not DIS couraged here..and we will keep the flaming to a minimum...but please Help us Help you by taking a look around...

Hey CP bound... You too were once a "newbie" to this forum as the internet came around long after you were probably born. So why don't you shut the ---- up and stop wasting YOUR OWN time "newbie bashing" by saying things like "all of you are all relative newbies" and "some of you just like to see your name posted on the screen". What does newbie bashing have to do with rollercoasters and the amusement park industry, anyway? You think what is said at times is unworthy of posting/viewing at this forum, but what use do your comments serve if they don't deal with the core subject that we're all here to talk about? The don't serve a purpose at all except to piss people off. So why don't you go sit back down on your throne, wherever it is, and only contribute if you have got something relevant to say. If you still feel that only you are capable of saying relevant things, then why don't you try holding a conversation with yourself for a while. It would keep you off this site, perhaps.
