So much for....

that great view under the reverse spike. It looks like they put up some of those covers over that part of the queue also.

Yeah, I don't get that at all. They're killing the cool factor of being close to the ride while waiting. Go figure.

I really dislike the solid enclosure behind the rear spike. Those of you who have been on Superman at Worlds of Atrocity know why. It sure is cool watching that train come down over you, and there you're actually under the curve. At Cedar Point you won't even be under the track.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping for some material like the covers they have for shape.

I don't know...looking closely at them, it looks like just a draped tarp to me. I wonder if that is really permanent

It is draped tarp, they were doing some type of maintenance on the structure, so they covered that part of the line with blue tarp.

It looks like they have painted the "cage" blue and they have the tarp up so they didn't get any paint on the covers. That's probably the same tarp they had covering the train while they were painting the inside of the station.

Ahh...very good.

I caught it with the blue tarps there and big cherry picker up close to the supports. Its possible they were touching up paint and didn't want any to spill down onto the freshly installed awnings and the "cage thingy."

I can see why they put the enclosure in though. Imagine an object a rider was carrying flying off the train and slamming into someone in line? The enclosure will prevent an incident like that.

Unless you start first thing in the morning.

Couldn't have put it better myself, Matt.
