Snoopy Rocks on Ice!

The new Snoopy Rocks on Ice started yesterday, and I was wondering if anyone caught it. If anyone did, was it any good or worth seeing?
I just got back from CP and had the pleasure of viewing Snoopy Rocks on Ice and I must say I enjoyed it very much. The whole production was first class and very entertaining. I highly recommend checking it out when your at the park.

He had to have...otherwise that would be false advertisement!

Sparty, you could say he "got jiggy wit it.":) Really in all honesty it really is a good production. I enjoyed it alot more than another IMAX film, that I probably would not have gone to see at all. Also, this was the first time that I've seen the theatre full to capacity in a long time.

Plus, I'm down with Snoopy anyway.;)

I saw the Knott's version of the show this past weekend. Does the CP version have the "Zambonis" come out mid-show??

Yep, if you are talking about the mini RC controlled Zambonis driven by woodstock. All in all the show was much better than expected. I was a bit surprised that they had the sound cranked, some people are probably going to complain, so enjoy it before they turn it down...;) Before the show there is a pre show where they used to bang on garbage cans, where they only have two full range EVs set up, and you can barely hear what they are saying. A bit of a contrast. The pre-show starts about 20min before the actual show.

Oh, and forget about the Joe Cool Club, there is not going to be any special seating or early admittance for members contrary to all the flyers. I was told that there is not enough time in between shows to get everything togather.

I thought the early entry was only for the first show on a specific day...not for all shows.

Just got an email from CP regarding 4th of July and Joe Cool benefits for Snoopy Rocks:

"Meanwhile, Cedar Point's new ice-skating extravaganza, "Snoopy Rocks! On
Ice," has opened, and Joe Cool Club members will be admitted early to the
first show every Tuesday and Saturday. Simply show up at the Marina exit
turnstiles 20 minutes prior to showtime, show your Joe Cool Club card, and
you'll be allowed to enter and find your favorite seat before the theatre
is opened up to everyone else."

Note it is the FIRST show, and only on Tuesday and Saturday. You do not go in the main entrance, but to the exit by the marina gate.

Understood, I read the same thing in The Fun Times flyer, but also had some time on my hands Sunday when I showed up at 6pm for the 7pm show and was talking with the lady at the gate. Unless they did not get the memo, (which she was knowledgeable and aware of the program), or they are temporarily short staffed, logistically she did not see this as possible. Does not mean I will not try again Saturday, or, maybe something will change later in the year. All I know is what I have been told, maybe management has some different ideas which has not trickled down to the seasonals yet.

I saw this show yesterday, and found it to be quite enjoyable. Some of the female skaters are pretty hot, so that makes the show even better. :)

Just because you can't justify charging $3 for a Pepsi doesn't mean you can't charge $3 for a Pepsi.

I found the show to be the best out of all of the other shows in the park, this is one show that I will see again and again, but it leaves one question in my mind, will it be the same show every year, or will it be changed?

We saw the show for the first time on Saturday. The show is outstanding. We really enjoyed it. On the other end, though ... after the 9pm show, we stayed for the laser show. I've enjoyed it every year since it started in 1995. But this year it seemed to have a slow pace and just wasn't as good overall.

If anyone one here has seen Snoopy Rocks On Ice more than once (I know, I have no life) did you notice that the lead skators are different. Everyone I was with who saw it both times noticed it, why would they do this?

Cee yoU AT Cedar Point!

In order to do the tough performance schedule of 4 times a day and 6 on Saturday with one day off, it is too much to ask of the skaters to do every performance, so there are two "casts" of principle skaters. That way it will lessen the chance of injuries over the course of the summer.

The secondary cast does one show daily and 2 on Saturday. They are mixed in with the other principles though so you would never see the entire 2nd cast of principles at one time.
