Snoopy On Ice: Construction Photos

Cedar Point has added some Snoopy On Ice construction photos:

Unlike some thought, it looks like the show will take place only in the actual theater.

Once again Cedar Point has shown they know how to maintain a great website.

Interesting......
I've been wondering how they were going to set up the show. Thanks for the update!

I thought that was old news ... or maybe that was something we talked about at the Dave & Busters gathering.

Anyway ... I must say that, at least for me, the theatre without the screen is a sad sight. I'm sure Snoopy will be great, though.

It looks like they took out a row of seats! The show should be interesting!  Can't wait!

So does this mean that there will still be the percussion/drums show before the ice show?

I will sadly miss the theatre also. But maybe it is for the good. I guess IMAX is getting to be an old unexciting format.

Stick a funky lens on the IMAX and get a bowl shaped screen and you have the "cooler" format of OmniMAX... sigh... OmniMAX gives me a headache.
Wicked Twisted Greg, I don't think we will see another drum show. Remember they need a backstage area for the the props, dressing rooms, etc. So parts of the pre show area may become part of a backstage area.

Then what will become of it?

Now I really wish they would of kept the IMAX!

I thought it would be logical that the area of the drum pre-shows would be used as a dressing area and a backstage area. Someone said I was right on the money before, but I forget who it was...

Who ever thought otherwise? What would have ever indicated otherwise?

Wow! I never had a chance to visit the iMAX theatre and it sure looks huge! Too bad it's gone now.

Actualy, where is the back stage area going to be? It looks like the stage area goes all the way back to the wall.
Jeff, Go back and read the post, right here on GTTP, following the announcement of Snoopy On Ice. Many people thought both the pre show area and the main area would be combined or the pre show serve as a bakcstage area:

Fear the Mullet!

I noticed all the seats were covered in plastic.  Do you think it's possible they may have replaced the old seats with new?  Or are they just covering the old ones up to keep construction dust off?  I DO hope they are new seats.
Ok who else is going to quote Andrew and make another comment!!  LOL  any takers?
I bet they are the old seats.  Why would you install new seats when you are going to dump a ton of dirt in there?   New seats would be cool.

My question is what did they do with all the IMAX equipment?  (Trash or Sell)?

Yes Spartan it matters, I won't be able to sleep tonight until I find out!
