Snoopy has Left the Building

Yeah, I was just going to say, "They took the tree out to put in some paw prints?" It looks so.... 'unshaded' over there now... ;)

Just because they painted there doesn't mean the tree couldn't go back in. The building would look a little retarded if they painted all but the area behind the tree. So, pull the tree out, paint the whole thing, put the tree back.

Oh boy, more cement to look at.

I really thought that tree was pretty cool looking and added some shade to that area.

One thing that I hope HH will have is the bratworst that the hofbrow(sp) had.

And I really like the red stripe idea.

I doubt HH will have the brats. Those aren't very Caribbean.

I don't think the tree will go back in the same place, considering they put paw prints behind where the tree would be. If they were putting it back, they probably would've just painted the wall and not bothered with the prints. Hopefully we'll see this tree turn up somewhere else in the park, it is a cool little tree.

I agree. It doesn't make any sense to take the tree out, pPaint the building, add the paw prints (most of which are where the tree covered the building), and then put the tree back in. Besides, it's not like it would have been *impossible* to paint the building with the tree there. More difficult maybe, but not impossible.

If this is painted like they do other things (sprayers, not rollers/brushes) then its probably a good thing they took the tree out.

That's true... I just think that they way they've added the paw prints, that the tree won't be going back in in the same location; but I could be wrong...

You all realize that your talking about a TREE, right?

The anticipation of opening day is really getting to some of you.

It's not like it's "just a tree." It happens to be a unique type of tree that has actually been discussed here before.

Yea, that's kind of ridiculous to remove that tree. I hope it goes back but I highly doubt we'll see that.

Kind of reminds me of that tree right at the last turn coming into the ready brakes on Magnum. Some people were reaching out and able to nip it with their hand. They could have trimmed back a branch or two, but instead they just chopped it down.

Why?

It seems like they like to rip down trees. Its not just the tree by the snoopy boutiqe , its also the trees next to the train tracks, magnum, and other areas through the park.

That was a very uniqe tree, I am not sure what type of tree it is/was, but it was really cool to look at and to replace it with more cement(of course I am assuming that its not comming back) is just not cool.

They've done even more on HH than the picture on the blog shows. It's very well themed; with palm trees and everything! Here are a few pictures I took from the front gate while I was up getting my passes redeemed:

Very nice pics. I think thats a great addition to the front area of the park. It should make it much more festive.

Thrills Around the Corner!

Thanks.... I agree, it will be a great change for the front of the park!

It was funny because you can also see the new "Half Court Challenge" from the entrance, there a were number of higher-ups (although I couldn't tell how much higer-up) over there shooting hoops in a friendly game... :)
