Snake River Falls closed for the season

I guess it got cold faster this season. I wouldn't call it a bad decision. Getting soaked in 50 degree weather isn't fun.

I'm thinking "Fall Temperatures" really means "Staffing problems"

I agree, Ben. At the rate we're going this year, by October 29, all we'll be seeing will be execs and supervisors...

Damn, now what am I going to to next weekend when I want to get absolutely drenched?
I guess I'll just have to go under the fountain on the swan bo, oh wait, maybe I'll have to ride White Wat, nevermind, Thunder Canyon? Nah, too many wereworlves.

hmmmm...

I think the fountain on the Main Midway will be your best bet... ;)

Give me a break. The ride cycles with one or two people on it. There's no point in running the ride.

If you want to get soaked, jump in lake erie.

I agree that its probably due to staffing. No one really knows what the weather will be like for any of the upcoming weekend, and who knows it could be quite warm. I for one love doing the water rides after dark, or in the fall due to the short lines. And when people pay $39 to get in, I think they should have that option.

That fountain could be a nifty little ride though DBCP. Your'e right!

If someone wants to ride SRF in 50 degree weather, they're imbalanced. The water rides aren't the draw during Halloweekends, and their absence shouldn't be a legitimate disappointment to anyone, unless they're just looking for something to complain about.

Wow. I guess whatever I said was taken seriously. Go figure.

I haven't ridden SRF or Thunder Canyon for the last 6 years, cause getting soaked just isn't my thing. Honestly, I couldn't care less whether or not Snake is open for the last 3 weekends of the year.

Whatever, exit. Its too late now - we all know how you really feel.

Fine, but come closing weekend, you're going swimming in the fountain with me.

Fine by me! Thems coins in them there fountains, and I likes me some coins!

Even when I was there in mid August, the thing was cycling with 2-3 people on each boat. I thought it was amusing. LOL!!

Well it probably is for the better. If it came down to a roller coaster running slowly due to not enough people, Snake River Falls seems like the best ride to close.

Thrills Around the Corner!

This may sound far-fetched, but I think it would be cool if they were to put a bunch of skeletons on the SRF boat. Fasten them securely, and let them run on some sort of continuous cycle.

Or rig up a boat full of skeletons about halfway down the drop (well, secured in place of course). That would be a pretty cool display as well.

And then have a recording that says "We get to ride but you don't. Maybe if you get scared to death in the Fright Zone you can join us."

Of course, that is just me being stupid, although I would get quite a kick out of hearing that.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
