Do you think SRF will be leaving anytime soon? Considering they built Shoot the Rapids and that's pretty much an improved copy of SRF anyway. If it were to leave what do you think would replace it? I would love to see a themed Euro-Fighter like Mystery Mine at Dollywood. I think it would tie the whole Frontier Trail. They don't have a coaster like that at all. I think it would be a great addition.

I also think SRF will stay for a few a yrs to come. They have to take the picture with PEPSI on the Bridge, because I know Cedar Fair changed to Coke.

I dunno, Snake River Falls is pretty much in the best location I've seen for that sort of a ride, and when it's really hot, you definitely can't top its splash vs. Shoot-the-Rapids' splash.

Shoot The Rapids needs to go!

I rode pilgrims plunge last summer and it was a great ride. I think if it ever were replaced It would need to be replaced by another water ride. Notice how all three water rides in the park are located very close to each other so that people can use one locker and not have to travel across to the park to ride the water rides. But SRF will be here for at least the next three to five years, maybe more.

I think it is the best water ride in the park. To bad the themeing didn't pan out like it was originally planned.

Why? It's a great crowd pleaser, and Is one of the more popular rides.

@OP.
Just because Cedar Point builds another water ride, doesn't mean they'll just remove another one. No such thing as too many good rides.

Some people on this board claimed that when StR went it, Snake River Falls was on the chopping block, but then saved.

Little disclosure: I've never been on SRF. Ever. My days of wanting to get soaked at CP were long gone before it was built. That said, I'd happily go on with my daughters if they wanted me to.

So, not a fan...but then again, it has a small footprint, has an "OK" theme (I agree, not having the mountain is pretty disappointing), and serves its purpose.

So why would it go?

I prefer SRF to STF. The drop is more fun, you get drenched and the best part, standing on the bridge.

I actually think a lot of people just watch people get drenched on that ride. So it is entertaining to the non-riders also. :)

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.

I'm not saying str is better than srf. I'm just curious to see what the park will do, considering they usually don't have 2 rides like each other.

What about Skyhawk and maXair? What about Cadillac/Antique/Turnpike Cars? What about Monster and Troika? What about Calypso and Scrambler? What about all the kid rides? There are several rides that could easily be compared to each other. I think both rides will stay. They like the 3 water ride lineup. As for my opinion, I prefer SRF.

Well lets be honest cads/tiques/pikes is overkill.

Haha yeah, the cadillac/turnpikes/antique is definitely overkill. But Skyhawk and maXair are 2 total different ride experiences.

I agree but I know when it opened, everybody was saying how they're practically the same. I much prefer Skyhawk anyday.

Me too. I don't really enjoy the spinning on maXair.
