smoothest palce on Magnum?

Ive heard that Magnum has gotten rough over the years (as have all the other Arrow hypers) and I want to get the best ride possible when I go to CP for the first time next year. Cause I cnat stand rough coasters!
Just sit in the middle row of any car. The day of my Discovery Channel shoot they had the camera set up over row 1-2, which meant that I had to sit in 1-3 which is my favorite seat, but having to talk clearly, and with a smile on my face was hard to do in such a rough row especially in the turnaround!

Even during the Millennium Mania days on Magnum I picked a 6-2 for a good majority of the rides because I thought it was smooth. Everyone was shocked I was sitting back there for all of the rides. When I am reriding and not leaving my seat I do not like to be sitting over the axels.

Dan--
When is that Discovery thing going to be aired?
Memorial Day weekend from what the Marketing Department told me. On a side not I do not know what show it will be on. Either the new Top 10 Coaster show or the show that is an hour long special on CP.

Well, I know I'm going to have to try to catch that. Congrats, Dan. If it's Memorial weekend, I'm going to be at the Point, so I'll have to tape it. If you get any more info, I'm sure you'll post!

Rides to the top of the World: 8
From my experiences last year 2-1 was treating me very well. Extremely smooth with the added benefit of some potent air. It's also worth mentioning that if you're tall at all the front row of any car is a must. The leg room becomes smaller as you move from row 1 to 3. 1 is beautiful, 2 is ok, and 3 is a pain because there are metal plates which rise up into the cars covering the wheels making your feet rest at uneven levels. I would ride in the ejector more often if it wasn't for this.
Definately middle of the train, but watch out for the bunny-hop hills on the return! Great airtime, but ouch! (I'd brace myself - that helps)

Goliath255? Just how many Arrow hypers are out ther? *** This post was edited by Chitown on 2/26/2001. ***
Goliath255, if you want the best ride experience, then go for the very first seat. It's not very rough, there's a great view. The only downside is the 30 minute extra wait.
Magnum, Desperado, The Big One, and there is one in Japan...I dont know what it's called. Even on Joyrides it says that Desperado is rough.
Titan is located at Space World in Kitakyushu City, Japan. If I remember correctly, it's the shortest (in height) of the Arrow hyper-mine trains at approx. 180 feet.

Logan - try crossing your legs at the ankles and pulling your feet back to the seat with just your toes on the floor. I find it produces much better feeling of airtime because you can have less contact with the train.

I rode Desperado in November and didn't find it rough in the sense that Magnum got last year. Magnum had a "chatter" of worn wheels or axils. Desperado slams into some elements quite hard, which is what some people are calling rough. I have to admit Desperado rode better then Magnum last year. But I believe 2001 will see Magnum return to its former glory.
