Smooth running 7/28

I give props to the TTD crew on the 28th. The trains were flying out of the station. I believe they are ready for 6th train operation. Right when I got to cp in the morning she was up and running and only saw 2 rollbacks all day and when that happened mechanics were out there checking the cable then they let the system be resetted and on it went. I got 2 rides on it that day, one front seat and one, second to the back. Well I can't wait to go back this comming tuesday.

How was CP on the 28th? Was it packed at all? I went on the 26th and 27th, and well, it rained alot. Wednesday was the first day in a while the sun had come out.
CHSbeefcoasterfreak: I will be at CP on tuesday too! Hope TTD ios running as well as it did on the 28th! See ya on rails! ;)

When i was there on May 24 and July 6 and TTD was down both days.

If you want to meet people at the point Write PB (pointbuzz) on your left palm. Make sure you use a red marker.

I was at CP on the 28th also. Dragster was running for the longest time I have ever witnessed it. It went for a good 5 hrs without a breakdown. I didn't even see 1 roll back. The only time it was closed was because of maintance request. It was only down for like 45min.

I'm excited to hear this. This is what I like to hear when I'm going in 2 weeks.

Yes, it was VERY crowded. I only got on 5 rides all day.. 3 dragster, 1 millennium, 1 power tower. I sat in the front of dragster 2 times. MF's line was so long. The longest I've seen it since 2001. I was waiting for it and then it brokedown so my friends and I said we'd rather wait for TTD. So we left and came back to MF and the line was only 2 hr, haha.

Great news about dragster as I will be there tommorow
I've never gone on a weekend to CP, besides in October. Is it normally crowded on say a sunday in the summer? Because I went on Friday the 23rd and it wasn't nearly as crowded as on Wednesday the 28th.
Thats awesome! I'm going the 11-13 of August. I hope TTD's luck continues until then! I waited last summer for 2.5 hrs. and then it broke down! Oh well, here's my chance! I only get to the point once a year. I live in St. Louis, MO so, it's far, but, not as far as others!

~Waiting to ride TTD!~

It shouldn't be too packed on August 11th-13th. Plus school starts soon for most people, so it will shorten most lines.
I also went on the 28th, Dragster ran great. I have noticed every single time i go, around 5-5:30 pm Dragster is down. I wonder if this is like a mandatory maintenance time. But DUBBSLAW3, why complain about only getting 5 rides in that day. What ya gotta do is hurry up to the Dragster in the morning then go to the Millenuim Handstamp. Or if you hit Mantis or Mean streak first thing there is no wait. From Mants hit up the MF hand stamp. I can easily pull in 3 front seats on Dragster and hit every ride, excluding Disaster transport. Trust me, i did it on the 28th. Another thing to everyone, dont hit RAPTOR the first half of the day, take my word, after about 6pm you will wait no more than 20-30 minutes tops, most of the time you can walk right on. But until like 4pm there is about a 90 minute wait. Besides the Dragster breaking down all the time I pretty much have the approximate ride times down to a science. My email address is jdybata@comcast.net if anyone has any questions. I'm not trying to brag or say I know everything about CP, but I go SO OFTEN, I have picked up a lot of pointers and learned many tricks.

I want to ride a rollercaster NAKED!!

I will never ride mean streak or mantis ever again! Both are completely dumb, just my opinion. Anways I got to the park at 2 pm and left at 10 pm. That's 8 hours, 5 hrs total for TTD, 2 hrs for MF, 30 min for Powertower and 30 min for dinner. And about the MF handstamp, we only wanted to ride it once and the time was already at 10-11. Besides, none of my friends like MF a second time, either do I. *** Edited 8/1/2004 12:45:08 AM UTC by DubbSlaw3***
Hey I went to the point and i waited 3 1/2 hours for dragster and it was well worth the wait. It was crowded but i got to ride all 16 roller coasters. I got like 10 Iron Dragon rides, 7 Mean Streak ( By the way if you think that Mean Streak is rough, try riding Shivering Timbers) 2 Wicked Twister, 4 Gemini, 2 Magnum, 2 Mantis, and 2 Raptor, with everything else ridden once. So yeah it was crowded, but every ride excluding dragster that i waited for was no more than a 15 min wait. I guess I'm lucky or something cause I only go like once in a decade and I got the best day to ride dragster and get 15 min waits at the same time. This was on the 28th by the way *** Edited 8/1/2004 2:14:08 AM UTC by timbers01***

I'm a Mean Streak fan and I have to say Shivering Timbers is much smoother than Mean Streak. It must have to do with all the padding they put on ST's seats. Mean Streak has its days of being good but they're rare. Mean Streak needs the extra padded seats.

You don't know the meaning of "rough". Try riding Son of Beast...

I think Timbers may actually be rougher than Mean Streak, but there are two things helping the situation. A) The seats are much much better than those on the Streak. B) Its not as long.
I swear I can stand MS for about the first 1/2 to 3/4 of the ride but after that its just too much and needs to be OVER. Either way, a wooden coaster isn't supposed to run smooth as glass and to expect it to is just plain dumb.
