Small Update
My mom works as an x-ray tech over at Firelands Regional Hospital in Sandusky, lo and behold, she ends up x-raying someone from Switzerland, turns out he's paying "a visit" to Cedar Point. According to him, TTD will not be open for a long time...I wouldn't take that as months, probably more than a week though, he said that there was some other problems besides the valve that are keeping the ride down. He did not seem concerned though..

Gahh, more bad news. Well, it looks like TTD won't be up by the Friday-Sunday time frame I predicted. But then again, it might still be up in that time frame. Unless it was from someone from Intamin, CP, or someone who was at the park that day (that Swiss guy could be anyone), I wouldn't believe it. I need inside info.
This man's story is probably true. I just returned from a 4 day excursion to Cedar Point and I can second this information. Special technicians from Switzerland were sent in Monday morning to work on Dragster. Unfortunately, the Cedar Point technicians jerry-rigged the ride so horribly wrong that the Swiss guys do not know how to fix it. Yes, the ride will probably be down for quite some time. According to the Public Relations manager, "Top Thrill Dragster's reopening date could be tomorrow or next month."
