Skyride

I visited CP today for the last day and in the morning the skyride quit. There was a loud bang and the cars stoped moving for about 20 minutes in the morning. Then a loud humming noise came on and the cars moved slowly across. There was alot of personel on site. I was wondering what had happened? Has any one else seen this?

Probably an e-stop. It happens.

It was not 20 minutes. Whatever happened, they unloaded and parked the remainder of the tubs in the stations and that was that.

The Sky Ride was working fine later in the day on Sunday.

^ I concur with Pete. Even took it for a ride.

We took it one way, but notice it stopped a little bit later, and then not running (and cabins pulled in) a little bit later than that.

I figured it was the wind, as Saturday had been pretty windy on the ground, and Sunday, though better, was probably still strong a little ways up.

It was about 1:00 or so when it stopped, and it was back up around 4:30 if I remember correctly. I also thought it was the wind, as in late afternoon the wind died down considerablely.
