Skyhawk Cam?

Does the cam on Skyhawk always stop at dusk? I am on right now and the web cam isn't refreshing. The last time it was updated was 5:59:06.

It doesn't refresh at night, there would be no point.

Is it that time of the off season already that the webcam threads are popping back up? If so, then wow. That's a pretty fast off season.

There isn't much to see at the Skyhawk site. It's built. They need to wire it and such. It'll be done by May 6th.

They quit refreshing a couple of weeks ago after 5:59 pm. That's when they start doing the secret work on the new ride. Part of thew work is being done on the island behind Skyhawk. Think: Mounds of Dirt from some time ago...

They don't typically refresh at night, although during the season they often do. But you will notice that it tends to change (as to whether or not they refresh at night or not), and for no reason. For example the midway cam is still refreshing even at this hour of the night...

It is rather random as to when it refreshes. And when it goes into archive mode you can get some interesting pictures. All during the season the archive picture for the maXair cam was always May 9th for some odd reason. I think I even got a TTD picture once from when the cam was on archive.

Although the Cedar Points Webcam Site doesn't update at night, the camera must still be going. I have http://www.cedarpoint.com/_cpcam/cam3_0000000001.jpg set as my active desktop. You can hit F5 at any time to get the latest picture, even at night if you so choose.

Anyone else notice that CP's clock is a bit fast?

^Depends which one you look at. The Midway Cam is a bit slow.
