Sky Ride and Space Spiral questions

How do the sky ride buckets stay on the cable?
How does the small metal things support up to 4 people?
Has the spiral ever stopped somewhere up the pole?
I saw a worker ride on top of the spiral cabin to the top, has
anybody ever seen anything weird on it?

The top of each cabin on the Sky Ride has a cable grip. When the car leaves the terminal, the grip automatically grips onto the cable, when it enters the terminal the grip automatically detaches from the cable.

My favorite guest question while working Sky Ride, "does this thing ever come off of the cable?!" My answer, "all the time. You're off the cable right now."
