Sky Ride

I have looked at the Cedar Point video "Summertime Tradition" and the book "Queen of American" and each of them say different things about what year it opened. The video says 1962 and the book says 1963. Anyone know?

Well, a few of us looked into this last weekend. There is a photograph in the Town Hall Museum which shows the construction site for the Mill Race. The Mill Race opened in 1963, which is why the Blue Streak (1964) is not in that photo.

The Sky Ride is visible in that photo.
