I hope I didn't miss this somewhere, but I did the requisite searches and came up empty.
Why isn't the Sky Ride running? I noticed the other night it wasn't running, and thought maybe they had closed it early, but it's not running today either. Did somebody fall out or is it mechanical or none of the above?
Just curious...
I got nothin'.
Interesting story from yesterday, though I know it happens all the time. The group in front of my son and I had a couple of basketballs. The ride op did a great job of informing the guests of the rule. The group gave him a bit of a hard time and didn't want to exit or did they want to get a locker. They eventually decided to leave the basketballs on the platform, even though the op told them they could not. Well, after their bucket left, the basketballs were discarded. :)
Maybe the sign needs to be more prominent. Maybe guests need to pay more attention. Perhaps both. But it must get really, really old for those poor ride ops. Hats off to you guys.

About time some ride ops took control of the situation. And it's about time guests stop thinking they are the exception to the rule. It really doesn't cost that much to rent a locker for the day to put that stuff in.
I'm too sexy for my harness!
As a former member of the sky ride crew. the ride goes down for 20 MPH wind at a steady rate and Gusts over 25 MPH. As for rain the ride will run untill management finds it to unsafe to run. Last year when the remains of hurricane Katrina came up to Ohio we were one of the last rides to shut down. The stations were flooded out and really safty was not a factor for managemnet. But finally they did shut us down. It really depends on what managment and supervision seems fit in closing the ride down. But to also metion matence would call us down befre managment and supervision. Showing the true in compodence in both Management and supervistion.
