Size of project area

Sorry to say that we are unable to make it to CP this. I have been looking at all of the photos of the project area,(which are great Walt) but I just can't tell how big the area is.

I thought I read on a thread that it takes up 6 acres. Is that true? Can anyone put into perspective for me just how big this area is?

Thank you

I was there in late june and I belive that it is 6 acres or more to

NO WAY is it 6 acres. Much, much, much smaller then that. If you think this is going to be a huge ride that takes up a lot of space, you're wrong..Its all packed into a medium sized space, nothing really big though.

WWL took up 5 acres. Plus if you add the pond and how much it was enlarged, I think it's easy to say Project 2007 covers 6 acres.

2400th post, YAY!!

TTD, he asked how large the staging area is, not the construction site.

I'd say it's about the size of a football field, if that helps put it in perspective.

No Im pretty sure he's been asking about the Project Area. It's kind of easy to tell with the name of the topic being...oh I dont know, "Project Area" and not "Staging Area".:)

Bottom line, it will not be a record breaker, not enough space. As long as that piece of garbage woodie MS still exists :(.

What coasters have they built that didn't break some kind of record? As far as MS being a piece of garbage, well your wrong. It is by far not the greatest but it isn't the worst neither.

Thanks for that info. It's so hard to tell the hight of everything thats been put up, and the amount of space that is being used with out seeing it for yourself.

Well I guess I will have to keep posted here for the updates until next year, when we can see it in person. The same was with TTD. The webcams didn't do it justice.

THE WAIT IS DRIVING ME MAD!!!!! NEXT YEAR CAN'T GET HERE SOON ENOUGH!!!!!!!!

MS has nothing to do with the new coaster. Where did you come up with that load of bull?

Uh, maybe if MS was removed, that huge space it currently takes up could be used for P2007.....get it.

yea i agree. I dont like MS at all really, and if they took it out they could put something waaaaay better.

Mean Streak isn't going anywhere...
