Size of land for each coaster

Does Project 2007 have more land than Raptor and Mantis separately?

Be nice to see a list of all the coasters & how much land each one takes up.

Just my opinion, but I don't know if we're gonna know how much land this new coaster is gonna take up until they announce what it is, or until the park closes for the year and we see what else, if anything is going to be cleared for this project.

I would say less then Raptor.

Cedar Point has land sizes for some coasters listed on their web site. White Water Landing covered 5 acres.

And they already expanded beyond the original WWL site.

Raptor's land could be be longer than the project area but not cover as much land itself.

How many acres is Millennium Force on.

I think it says that on the CP website.

How does Corkscrew take up the same amount of land as WWL did?

With footers and track and a station ;)

Corkscrew is more spread out than you are thinking. Take a look at a good satellite image (Ben has one, I linked it in another thread).

I would think it would be hard to judge the actual size of the land some of the park's coasters are on. MF, Raptor, Corkcrew, and Magnum all have layouts that are very spread out. All these rides share real estate with other attractions as well. The other coasters are a little more compact and stick to one area. Project 2007 will obviously be compact.

Those are nice pictures. Taken during the off season I suspect.

I am going to Michigan Adventure this weekend. Any good tips? Also, does anyone have any idea where I can get some very high res pictures of CP roller coasters. There is a place where you can have wall paper made from photographs. Imagine having a picture of MF or TTD the size of your entire wall in your room. I want to get that for my 5 year old son who is a coaster nut already.

Wow that sounds awesome! It's a good thing I don't have anything on my walls besides for my on ride photos. Where do you get them made into wallpaper? I'm going to look into that around here and get one of TTD

^^ I never heard of that before. That sounds really cool!

Tips for MA: Try to arrive early because the parking lot fills up quickly. Lines can get pretty long because there aren't very many rides there (especially the water park). Shivering Timbers is a great ride. Also you should try Grand Rapids, which is new for 2006. BE PREPARED, YOU WILL GET WET.

Ah, so you're for DeVos, eh, MiA Freak? Well, I personally don't care who is elected governor of this here state as I see it going downhill for quite some time (if not ever) anyway.

Haha, so GR gets people wet, eh? Is it any close to the power of riding Snake River Falls, what, twenty times in one day? Cuz that's how many times I rode it the first time I went to CP a couple years ago, and I was SOAKED!! My profile pic shows me, my bro & my sis at CP after SRF. Ah, good times, good times :)

I think most people are for DeVos after the last 3.5 years of Jennifer.

GR gets you soaked to the bone no doubt. Nothing will stay dry.
